The initial smell is very strong, like axe body spray or something (but that strong smell wears off fairly quickly). Even after the scent wears off, the deodorant still does it's job! It's very effective and long lasting! My son has overactive adrenal glands, so he gets FUNKY and had to start wearing deodorant at 2 years old (this brand at 3 years old). He's got very sensitive skin and this deodorant has never given him any problems (no rashes, redness, etc). Definitely recommend if you're looking for a cheap and all natural deodorant for your kiddos.

My 8 year old is starting to get the "funk" when he does physical activity and I was concerned due to his early age. I researched online and found out it is occuring at a much earlier age nowadays. I do not want him to use antiperspirants and was telling him to use one of my deodorants however I looked this up in Amazon and came across these. He loves the way they smell and so far they work. We will see how they work and I will update the review.

I tried several deodorants for my grand daughter. Nothing worked! I decided to try a high performance sport one. This deodorant lasted a very long time! It worked fabulously and this is our second order!

Our 7yo plays sports and is very physically active. We noticed he’s not smelling the best after a hot day, and decided it was time for deodorant! I didn’t want him using adult deodorant because they contain chemicals, so this is perfect! It’s more expensive than traditional products, but it works well for him and smells like a softer version of a “big guy’s” product. Perfect!

My 8 year old has been using this deodorant for a couple of months now and it works great. He has no body odor and he seems to stay dry most of the day although it's not an anti-antiperspirant. It doesn't have the greatest scent but it's also not the worst. The deodorant is doing it's job and I am pleased to know that it's all natural and not harming him in any way seeing that children's skin is still quite sensitive at this age.

My 8 year-old started to smell like locker room. I figured it was time to get him a deodorant. I wanted to make sure it would be a kid-friendly product, so I did my research and decided to try Growing Basics. This deodorant has a very mild smell, a bit citrus-y, a bit sport-y, not overpowering, and my boy likes it. The amazing thing is, ever since he began using it he stopped being stinky. I highly recommend it, my only con is that it's expensive, I had to pay $18 for double-pack including shipping.
