Great for countersinking trim nails.
These punches are great - flat ends make it easy to use them to countersink trim nails that the nail gun didn’t get in all the way.My only complaint: the fabric roll they are stored in requires that you roll it up and tie two pieces of string. Try as I might, there’s no way to tie it tight enough to keep the punches from falling out if you accidentally turn them upside down. So, a little frustrating, but not a big deal.Good knurl on the handles, solid punches.

Perfect
I've had this punch set for about a month now and have used it several times. It has not broken, which is in deep contrast to other punch sets. I think this could be in part due to the more rounded-off taper from the base to the end of the punch. Other sets have a sharp, small taper and must apparently be structurally weaker in some way due to that. In terms of mushrooming, I have had no severe warping of any kind. Just normal wear and tear that will not affect the function of the punch set. The holder is also a nice touch. It's relatively thick and durable and the punches sit nicely without sliding all over the place.Overall, this set is a nice bang for your buck. I personally find it recommendable.

a punch set is an essential part and it's one of those tools that you can't easily substitute. I had an old and banged up ...
Xage 8 piece pin punch set. I got this set primarily for working on my firearms, but if you have a workshop, whether it's for working with weapons, metal or even woodworking or crafts, a punch set is an essential part and it's one of those tools that you can't easily substitute.I had an old and banged up set with a few punches missing so it was time for a new one. The price for the Xage set was very cost competitive, so I ordered it. First of all, the case is very well made. My ancient set came in a wood block, but the new ones are usually just stuck in a cheap plastic or cloth sleeve that rolls up and not only cracks or tears, but also the punches fall out. This case is sturdy and zips up. It's still compact and east to store.The punches themselves are made of good steel and have gimping along the body to help hold on to them, but it's not so pronounced that it feels like a file. I had two projects that required different size punches and they worked well. Very happy with this purchase.

Soft metal, did not last
Unfortunately the tips began mushroom out after just a dozen or so taps. I used three different sizes attempting to tap out some taper pins. Very soft metal. Not good for driving puns that may be stuck or seized and require braking loose.

Great value, essential firearm mod tools
Works great!! Exactly what I needed. The pouch holds all the punches in just fine without falling as long as your not shaking it up & down because of course they will fall out eventually. Used this a a punch set to modify some firearms and it was more than adequate. I would recommend & for the price can't beat it.

Pretty good Pin Punches for the price
I used them to drive nails through sub-floor sheeting to remove them to work on the floor joists below them. I only used one and even though there was some mushrooming on the tool after use it was not severe and for the price I was happy with the product.

Solid Nail Punch set at a decent price
Needed a couple of new nail punches for a project since I seem to have lost my old ones. Found these and am very happy with them. The storage pouch they come with is also nice for keeping them together.

Pins=Good, Case=Trash
Decent set of punch pins. Big problem though; the case only has retention straps for the two larger pins, so the rest just kind of rattle around inside, making it next-to-useless. It'll store them ok, but at this price point, just leave the case out and pass the savings onto the customer...or better yet, just make the case a simple zipper bag made of pleather or something.
