The four AA cells even new Panasonic alkaline leak if clock is on battery. The vanishing display with battery off is not there as there is no button put the battery off. So there is no awakening to clapping or touch as given in description. The display of time and temperature is nice. In short what is described is not all true.

As mentioned, The clock should work either with battery or power. Unfortunately 4 AAA alkaline battery does last hardly for three days. Thrice changed the battery but every time same issues. Connected to power. Working fine but after ten days alarm stopped working. tries to reset etc but still alarm does not work. This is totally useless product and it has become just a show piece. Unfortunately not able to return since the return window is closed and also I threw away the packing. Totally disappointed with item.

Usability Issue: Once its disconnected from power, had to reset time again which is painful. U cant expect all the time to be power on or have uninterrupted power.Design Issue: The temperature it shows is not right. When the temperature is 25 c, it shows 32c !!

No es barato para la calidad que tiene, la función de alarma la cumple perfectamente, pero dejó de funcionar a los dos días con pilas y tenía que estar siempre enchufado, el plástico no es muy bueno.

Il est mignon ce cadran, mais le claquement de main serait censer faire apparaître l'heure. Et bien ça ne fonctionne pas. Aussi, je je trouve pas la fonction qu'il devait y avoir pour conserver l'affichage de l'heure en tout temps. Finalement, j'aurais aimé pouvoir sélectionner une autre couleur que rouge pour l'affichage. A l'achat, ça semblait possible.

Nice looking clock. Works as advertised. A bit cumbersome to set up initially with the date. Easy to see in dark room as well lit.

Bought this to use in spare room - had to check the video on Amazon to adjust some features. I wont use it for an alarm so just wanted a clear clock and temperature. I like that I can set it to turn off the display and only turn on by tapping it with my nails, but in a dark room its very very bright even when set at the lowest dim setting. I can see the red light through my closed eyes! Luckily it turns off after a few seconds so sleeping with it in the room is fine. I certainly couldnt if the display stayed on. I fitted batteries as back up and use the USB cord to keep it going and everything seems to work well. The instructions are a bit hard to read being translated into English but I managed to set it and then used the video here in the reviews to adjust other things. I would recommend it but use the USB cord with the batteries just as back up if the power goes off or you want to move it around. The batteries wouldnt keep it going for long by themselves. It is not a battery clock. I also recommend setting the display to off with sound to turn it on again - I just tap my nails on the top or side to wake it up, as its way too bright to have on in a room at night unless you want a bright night light.
