Camco Power Grip 50 Amp RV Power Cord Replacement Plug - Easy to Install

Needing this plug, I saw the namebrand Camco and went with this as I recognized from other camping products I've used. This is a well built plug, strong. Best part is that the screws and material are sturdy so there's no stripping the screwholes out when you tighten down. Easy to attach the wires, easy and safe to use with the added pull handle that others do not provide. I would buy this again if needed.

The original one needed to be replaced and this was the perfect replacement. Easy to install. -Lots of You Tubes :) We are full time RVer's and have been using this for 6 months since installing and it's still working great! Recommend and would buy again!

This Camco connector was by far the easiest one to replace of any I tried. The others don't give instructions, this one actually tells you how long to cut each lead and how far to strip the insulation back. I will buy again to have as a spare.

Installation of the cable was easy. Though in my cable the ground wire is uninsulated. I had to use some heat shrink wrap to insulate the ground and steer it clear of the other prongs. Note that this cable isn't weather proof.connecting and disconnecting it have been easy and without incident thanks to the built-in handle. The plug has a removable piece that let's you use cables of different sizes.

I am a value-conscious (cheap) senior citizen. I usually buy the least expensive items available, and make them work. I have found that lower quality connectors are difficult to install, usually requiring the wire to be wrapped around the terminal screws. This is difficult with 10 or 12 gauge wire, often resulting in a loose connection that overheats. Most Camco connectors I've used have an additional metal piece on the terminal screw that is "sandwiched" between the screw head and the wire. The wire is then "sandwiched" between this metal piece and the terminal. This allows the wire to remain straight, greatly simplifying installation. Other Camco connectors have a hole in the plastic base that the wire is inserted into, and then captured my the terminal screw. These are even easier to use, but I've only seen them on connectors for lighter gauge wires. I find the ease of installation well worth the slight extra cost. I don't want to spend my recreation time working on the RV. Not to mention the possible safety concerns brought about by loose or overheated wires.

Seems to be the best NEMA 14-50 plug on the market. Quite sturdy and easy to wire. Quite ergonomic for a plug that is usually notoriously stiff to insert/remove. I've bought a few already and will likely buy more. The only issue is the price has gone up.

Well suited for 6/3 wire, plenty of room inside the housing and you can easily take the terminals out to secure the wires. Feels sturdy and much better quality than the other cheaper 14-50 plug you can find, well worth it.

This is a plastic mold in two pieces. Not the greatest quality but if it's used occasionally and with care, I am sure it will last a few years. Connecting the wires is easy and fast, I use it with an 8 AWG SOOW cable.
