ODYSSEY Springfield U-Brake Kit

I don't really like U-Brakes all that much, as they're hard to adjust and a bit quirky overall. These brakes don't even have a centering adjustment, so I was concerned that they would drag on one side, but they centered perfectly. Installation was very straightforward. The cable is the better quality with linear instead of spiral housing. Be sure to use a cable cutter if you have to shorten it, although you could use a Dremel with a cutoff wheel if you're careful.On to performance: I didn't expect much performance since they are, after all, just U-Brakes, and the pads are so little. I was thoroughly impressed with the stopping power when I took the bike for a test ride. I weigh about 170 and had no trouble stopping (or even skidding for that matter).I would definitely buy these brakes again, as they have just become my new favorite U-brake.

Bought a Mongoose bike for my son that had the worst brakes but otherwise a pretty cool bike for the $$. These are great quality and could not have been easier to install if you've ever worked on your own bikes before. If you haven't, get your local bike shop to put them on or look up one of the many videos on how to install BMX brakes. Came with everything I needed and only required some basic tools - would have been a bit better if I'd had a proper cable cutter but basic wire cutters worked well enough. Brakes work 100% better than originals and the lever is way easier for my little guy to pull.

I needed a new rear brake for my sidehack. These did the trick, look nice and so far return out evenly.The brake cable sheath was too long in my case. It's hard and I tried 4 different cutters I own and still no good. I ended up using my die grinder with a cut off disc. I was expecting the end to be mashed up after my failed attempts to cut it. But it was fine and all I needed to do was stick a pick down the end to clean/open the hole.Far better quality than generic cables I've used in the past.

easy to install great bmx brake ever at a price dont break your bank account

I really liked the fact that they were so easy to install. The only thing I would recommend is to rough up the pads with sandpaper before using to avoid squeeky brakes

It a great v brake system probably one of the best in my opinion. I use this on the jet bmx. It come with everything you need. The cable is really long I have 20.250 frames and I still had like 3 feet extra of cable.

In 20 min war die Bremse montiert und Bremsleistung ist super. Würde ich wieder kaufen.

Kauft man sich bessere/größere Bremsbacken/Bremsschuhe dazu und sie funktioniert super ! ansonsten ist dies ein sehr gutes und auch gut anzusehendes bremsenset
