Works well for my application...
Installed yesterday, so not sure about longevity... but it worked and corrected the problem on my 2015 JKU Jeep. I used this for the temperature blender door (found on the driver's side kind of behind the radio console area). Tough to get to, but I followed some youtube videos and AI advice, and it took me about an hour-and-a half to complete. You will need a 1/4 drive and some extensions, an 8mm and 10mm sockets and a stubby phillips head screwdriver for this particular actuator (there are three in my Jeep, and this may have been the easy one.

If your dash is clicking, this is likely the solution.
If you have a loud clicking in your dash, it's likely the blend door actuator. This was a perfect replacement fit, and the part itself is easy to install, it's just a little tricky because of the way Jeep designed the access. It works just like it should and seems to be of good quality.

PITA to install but works!
The recirc motor in my kids 2016 jeep patriot was making all sorts of banging noises. Holy cr@p though this was a pain to replace! I'm very mechanical and have been working on vehicles for 25 years and this kind of stuff boggles my mind why an engineer would place them where they do. You will have to remove the glove box which is easy. Then remove the cover above the foot well, held in with 2 pop pins. You can reach in and unplug the motor from there easily. But then it will be a struggle with a right angle ratchet screwdriver to get the 2 silver screws out holding this in place. The lower one isn't bad but the top screw is done by feel, completely blind. And you'll have to be lying down across the drivers seat with your head down on the floor contorted and cursing to get to it. They are plain Phillips screws, not even the ones with an 7mm head on them for a socket, which would have made it much easier to remove without the tool slipping off. Make sure the one you remove is aligned properly, it should be in the recirc position when the vehicle is off. There is an alignment tool in the box you can put on a ratchet to move the door, but it's easier to just grab the white plastic end of the damper door by hand and move it if needed. Install is reverse of removal with slightly less cursing. No programming required, start the car and let it move through the recirc and fresh air positions, no more noise. It's worth noting there is a mode actuator and a temp actuator, both are this same part. One located on the drivers side of the center console by the pedals and one on the passenger side in same general area.

Price.
Replaced broken OEM piece. At a price, I can afford.

Excellent Replacement for HVAC System!
Review: I recently replaced my vehicle's malfunctioning blend door actuator with the Dorman 604-029, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The installation was straightforward, and the actuator works perfectly, allowing me to control the temperature inside the cabin once again. It's a quality part that fits well with my vehicle model, and it’s been running smoothly without any issues. I highly recommend this product for anyone needing a reliable replacement part for their HVAC system. Great value for the price!

Fits but fails calibration
Bought to replace failing blend door actuator on 2015 Wrangler. There were no issues with fitment but once installed and using an OBD II scan tool to run calibration tests, it continually fails. To be sure I even swapped out a different actuator since I had the dash apart and the failure followed this actuator. As far as I can tell the actuator still works but every time I start the vehicle the HVAC system runs its own test (and fails) for 8-10 seconds because it hasn't passed calibration via scan tool. I decided to take this actuator out and return it in favor of an OEM replacement part despite them being more expensive.

It’s QUIET now!!
The blend door actuator in my 2013 JKU gave out in the most problematic spot, behind the glove box. Installing the part was tedious to say the least. It took me about 3.5 hours from start to finish with a lot of scrapes on both hands and arms, but worth it considering I saved hundreds of dollars doing it myself. A few things: I highly recommend using a ratcheting compact bit driver for the screw in the back. I bought a set here on Amazon for 5 bucks that worked perfectly for the 7mm bit needed for the screws that are located at the front and back. There are Youtube videos that recommend one but I noticed that none of them are ratcheting. A ratcheting one will go a long way. Trust me, your fingers will thank you! You also won’t be able to install the part unless the connecting port is “turned” in the right spot. The alignment tool included in the box is useful in this aspect. You just stick it in the port and turn until the door lifts. Then you will be able to mount the part flush to screw it back in. Also, I know there are some who had to calibrate after install but, at least for my JKU, I did not have to. The part worked perfectly fine. I immediately tested the cabin air system that usually triggered the click, click, click. Nothing. Drove it around for a few minutes and absolutely quiet. Feels like a brand new car.

Producto recomendable.

Works well
Bought this for a 2014 Dodge Journey. Easy to install with the right tools. Did the following to "calibrate" the actuator manually : 1) Connect the actuator to the power connector, and just let it hang loosely. Turn on the car. 2) Turn the heat all the way up on the climate control. This will trigger the actuator to go to "hot". 3) Manually figure out how the blend door arm needs to be do deliver hot air. 4) The climate control, the actuator and the air door are now set to "hot". Install the actuator to its place and tighten the 2 screws. 5) Play with the heat and verify the air is hotter or cooler. Turn the heat all the way down and verify the air is cool.
