Emotiva Audio A-700 BasX 7-channel Power Amplifier, Black

This amp (emotiva a-700) was used to power the bottom seven bookshelf speakers of my 11.1 system. Zero noticeable audio distortion using Marantz SR 7010 as a pre-pro. Room size is 12ft by 10ft. After a 24 hour break in period and rerunning audyssey multi eq the sound was the same before. That's not bad considering the Marantz retailed at $2199 and wattage tested (per an audio magazine) at 83 watts per channel, seven channels driven. The emotiva is only a fraction of the cost ($599) and delivers about the same wattage (80 watts, seven channels driven) and same sound quality (after audyssey multi eq). In the end i returned the amp because it didn't notice any improvement the sound. I was impressed enough at the dollar value to try the big brother (emotiva xpa 7 / gen 3).

It works perfectly with shakers / transducers. I use it to power 4 buttkickers in a race simulator rig, providing accurate car chasis vibrations effects. This purpose requires very low frequency response and a lot of power. It excels at it, very powerfull, accurate and reliable, and it really handles the low frequencies (something difficult to find, since a shaker requires much lower frequencies than a subwoofer). The independent channels, with separate input and separate output are essential for this application. I does not overheat. Great product.

Great sound. I have a Yamaha RX-A2050 receiver that runs 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos and dts:X audio format but only capable to do 5.2.4 or 7.2.2 and the problem was that I can only use either one or the other. This amp now takes care of the seven channels and Yamaha will only run the four amps for the ceiling speakers. Separate amplifier is better because is concentrated in one job alone. great product and better price.

Amazing amplifier effortless highs and lows!!! I have very inefficient power hungery speakers and it runs them with absolute ease!!!!

Such clearer sound and keeps up with volume knob when turned up....A plus Amp!!

I'm experiencing popping noise thru my speakers when amp cuts on. All of my equipment is relatively new and I have checked my connections and cables twice
