I was terribly constipated for 5 days. It was horribly painful trying to go because it was massive, very dry and impacted. I didn't want to use a normal saline solution enema as I had already done minor damage from straining. These had great reviews for no-pain, no cramping, and effectiveness. It took an entire hour for it to work, but boy did it work!! Once it "activated" it was under 2 minutes and the problem is now flushed! I am so happy I found this! Another thing that I loved is how it had a cooling effect a minute after inserting, it was such a relief after so much pain. It is not messy whatsoever, especially compared to an enema. What I keep on hand: ⭐ Ultra-size tampon (for *temporary* internal support) ⭐ Fleet suppositories ⭐ Petroleum jelly ⭐ Medical exam gloves ⭐ Optional: a foot-stool for positioning (like a Squatty Potty) Here’s my routine: 1️⃣ I put on exam gloves. 2️⃣ When the urge to go first starts, I insert a tampon as intended. For me, this gives gentle support to the back vaginal wall—similar to “vaginal splinting”—and it helps my body signal the need to pass stool sooner. 3️⃣ I use a Fleet suppository according to the package directions. I usually feel the urge within minutes. 4️⃣ I apply petroleum jelly generously around the rectal area, and I place a small amount just inside the opening with a gloved finger. 5️⃣ I stay nearby and let the suppository work. Gentle movement usually helps me. When the urge increases, I sit with my feet elevated (a Squatty Potty works for this) and I go. I always remove the tampon afterward. This routine has helped prevent the stool from becoming too large right before I try to pass it, which used to be the most painful part for me. The petroleum jelly also helps everything move more comfortably. I love that the Fleet suppositories are basically just glycerin. They come right back out when you have your bowel movement. They provide a little lubrication on their own. They aren’t painful to insert, though the first time is a little uncomfortable if you’ve never used suppositories before. Otherwise—no burning or anything. They give a strong, natural-seeming urge to go. Why I use a tampon and why it helps so much: The back vaginal wall sits right against the rectum. After childbirth, that wall can weaken and create a small space between the two areas (a rectocele). During a bowel movement, the pressure of bearing down can push stool into that space, causing it to gather and become larger right before exiting. Using a tampon right before I go gives temporary support to that wall, so stool isn’t pushed into that pocket while I’m having a bowel movement. This keeps my stool at a more manageable size and reduces pain. There are medical devices made specifically for internal support, but tampons have worked well for me because I already keep them on hand. I only do this because I’m familiar with using tampons safely, and 👋 I always remember to remove it at the end. I truly hope this helps someone else the way it helped me. I have to use all of the above steps together. The Fleet suppositories are definitely a key part.

That's what I use this for. Not very often but when you're not going you gotta do something. I think, it helps. Eating more fiber would help more and you'd think I'd remember that better but I don't. It's like spelling, I think I'm good but I always check after and there's mistakes. This is my fiber checker.

Thank u to the lady who added review about this product and wearing a tampon when going to poop due to weak pelvic floor muscles which makes life very difficult. I googled and bought this little device from pelvic floor exercise online store arrived very quickly. U insert inside your VJJ when going to poop it straightens yr back passage with no bulge. I am fit and active, weigh 55 kilos but since I had my 2nd child I think bathroom habit got a bit challenging and I was desperate so thought of trying this product. First time for me for using suppositories, ya I have to say was bit of an effort getting it up there. Waited and waited nothing happened read the instructions again wasnt inserted high enough. I only used 1,I stuck with movicol but its here if I need it. Will definitely try again. Its a great product no pain and bowel is moisturised. I bought enema 6 pack hvnt tried it as yet.
