THIS IS A GOOD STOVE!
Pleasantly surprised when I received this stove. I chose it because of the dual fuel capability. A lot of times the butane canisters are just not available on a trip. Also, they can't be shipped from Amazon into California. But I can always find regular propane cans just about ANYWHERE.The stove seems to be very good quality. So far, it's only taken one spark from the lighter ea. time to light it. Instructions are easy to follow. Flame is easy to regulate, right down to a simmer. I've had experience with big Coleman stoves right down to the little Butane only pocket stoves & I can see that a wind break will be nec. in a breeze. No sweat, just pile up anything handy to block the wind.Since I've just got it, I haven't cooked yet, but I've boiled up a couple of pots of camp coffee just to make sure it works. Both Butane and Propane produce a clean, steady, controllable flame. Boil time would depend on how high you adjust the flame.By fiddling around, I can get the propane adapter hose & regulator to fit inside the stove for packing. The instructions said something about putting the pot grate thing upside down for packing. I don't know, but I found the stove fits fine in the carry case (with hose inside stove),with the cover/ pan-grate just in the normal position.Just so you know, The stove won't fit in the carry case with a butane canister in place. You have to take it out.All parts & controls have a good, well made feel & appearance is one that says quality. I'm extremely happy with this stove & nobody promised me anything for a good review. I just want to let you know what I think.

Fantastic stove - quality and value! Long term review
The media could not be loaded. I used this for a summer of camping, and it has held up well. It's so satisfying to have a full stove, in a TINY footprint, at the camp site. Makes cooking cheap while camping. This is such a high quality machine: easy to clean, and very nice flame control that easily ramps down without going out. Very nice for simmering/ etc.But it's not as hot as other stoves, just 7,000 ish BTUs, so you will notice it's not as hot as your stove at home. It benefits from using the included case as a wind shield.I'd recommend this one-stove setup to anyone. It's so compact and low cost, and beautifully engineered, I love it.Note: it's possible to store the propane hose inside the stove, but it's a pain to tuck inside. Normally I just put the propane hose in my cooking box - I hope future designs include propane hose storage, and for this reason, the compact Butane fuel containers are more convenient, but wasteful. If you're on the fence between PROPANE and BUTATNE - GET BOTH. This is very handy to have. I would NOT recommend butane-only stoves because it's harder to find in all stores, more expensive, and the cans run out quickly becoming very wasteful. I went to home depot 5 times before they restocked Butane, it's always sold out. And they don't hold much energy; Butane cans run out in just an evening or two of boiling water. So I recommend propane which is much cheaper, creates less garbage, and more available at any store. Also butane straight up doesn't work when it's cold, but propane does.

Perfect Camping Sidekick! minus the adapter issue!
Before I go on with my ranting...I want to say is that this is my second mini butane stove. The first one being only a butane and the second one which is this purchased that I made recently is a dual. I reason why I chose to purchased this dual mini stove and not just use my other mini butane stove was because from my experience in cold weather camping. Butane don't fair well at all compared to propane. With that being said, I received the product before I made my trip out to Lava Bed Monument up north by the California/Oregon border. It the weather wasn't too bad but cold enough that I didn't want to stand around without a fire pit near me. I took out the case, opened it and grab the mini stove out and lay it out on the table. Next was the hose adapter which I knew I had to connect because I wasn't carrying any butane bottle at all. With the adapter hose connected, first you have to connect the stove first before you connect your propane!!! With my propane connected, I proceeded to start cooking! Sausages, bacon, and chili was the menu for 3 nights. Within about 10-15 minutes of use. What I do notice right away is that propane and the hose adapter end that connects to the propane freezes up literally just seeing ice particles building around the propane and adapter end. Maybe the adapter is a defect or that this is typical but I don't think it is supposed to happen! My friend has a mini double dual stove and we are using the same exact propane and nothing is happening to his propane. From the looks of things I assume there is something wrong with the adapter? Butane on it works fine because I used it a bit when I got home and on local fishing trips but the adapter continues to display the ice particles and I believe that is a problem when the propane itself is tight on but there seems to be a leak and as a result. I am losing gas while using gas...I don't like the idea that after a prolong use that my propane can somehow burst or the hose is going to blow. The whole reason why I purchased this product was for the propane use but now I am scrambling to look for an adapter replacement which seems impossible since GAS ONE doesn't seem to sell it at all separately.
