Well done explanation of a complicated and neglected profession in this country. Artists are everywhere and some are REALLY COLLECTABLE.Good introduction to a chase that can be a thrill for years to come. Everyone needs color and art in their lives. White, black and grey-monotones lead to restlessness and not calmness. Decorators don't understand this-afraid of color-but artists do and play in colors continuously. Start enjoying yourself and spread the energy to the lowest paid profession in the world. Art gives back every day of it's life.

Very informative and insightful about the art world

First, the author is our son. Second, we were totally surprised when he told us that he'd written a book. We were delighted with both his efforts and his successes in describing so many interesting aspects of buying and selling so called mid-century art (a misnomer), and his developing knowledge of art and design. The photographs are excellent, and the words amusing and enlightening.

Great book for those who seek art, furniture, and decorative items at flea markets, consignment shops, galleries, auctions, and on line - an easy read, with great advice, resources, and examples. Author's personal focus is mid-century/modern items, but his advice applies to all genres.
