However, I did follow the instructions in some of the other reviews here and they came off with a little bit of effort. One of them was a bit stubborn and some dye came off, but I dabbed on some archival ink from a stamp pad with a piece of felt and that took care of it. Now, the GOOD: I've collected quite a few of these book boxes over the years and these are, by far, the loveliest ones I now own. The leather is buttery soft. The seams are neat. The embossing is well done. The spine has a beautiful curve and is exactly the gothic library aesthetic I was looking for. They are very well made. The largest one can really hold a lot! I would buy another set in a heartbeat. Very, very happy with these. Review: Looks good. - A little pricey, but looks great. Looks much better in my bedroom that odds and ends lying around.
