Pressure-Balancing Replacement Valve Trim, Matte Black

Rreplace the original Moen that was installed by the home builder 24 years ago! Great quality and easy to install! I purchased the chrome finish to match my shower and could not be more satisfied. Also replaced the mixing valve cartridge 1222 with the help of the extractor or puller and saved myself a bunch of $$$. Ouimadter shower had hot water now and looks like new. 👌

2 year review unit looked great for a year but now hard water spots are actually corrosion through the chrome to the brass under. I did put ceramic coat on it a year ago but too late. if you get one, wax it with car wax or ceramic

Perfect replacement for my old shower knob. Love the sleek matte black. Replaced it myself and it was very simple to follow and only took 10 minutes, if that.

Had to purchase this due to the one I bought from Amazon the shower handle did not fit but this one goes with moen fixtures

Looks good but build quality is low. The handle set screw lands on angle part of thr internal cyclinder, causing it to go crooked as you tighten. Backing the screw off to keep it straight allows it to come loose every month.

It stands out (proud) from the wall. The product photos make it seem as if the knob assembly will be snug against the wall. It still looks great, but sticks out further from the wall than I would like. My only other suggestion is to use additional thread lock on the set screw. It loosens with use. Not a big deal to tighten with the included Allen wrench, but nicer to not need to do that every few weeks/months.

Looks grate , wish the round part was as solid as the handle.
