They hit low
I got two of the 6”. Using the XLR balanced from a pioneer mixer. These sound good for DJing. They feel solid and rumble some of the lowers really nice. You could probobly get away without an extra sub if ur just chillin. I turned my sub off to test these. The mids and highs are all there and dont hurt my ears. The adjustments on the back are very helpful when adding a sub and balancing everything together.

Amazing thumping sound
Best purchase in a while are these monitors. No fuss HPF and LPF controls. Yes these monitors go down to stated 37Hz. Lound and fun to DJ with. I bought a sub and do not need it at all! Since I do have a sub, and the speakers are by the wall, I adjust the settings on the back of the monitors to tail off which is at 50hz, and adjust my sub to its lowest setting (50hz), and its perfect. Not at all too bright like many other studio monitors (JBL). Pioneer did a great job with these speakers, they are made for DJs in the home or studio.
