History and Physical Exam Pocketcard Set Cards – November 1, 2010

This pocketcard is the perfect size to keep in my pocket at clinical. I use it every time I work on a case study or SOAP note. It helps my thought process to be organized, thus my documentation is organized! It is worth every penny I paid for it!

I just finished my assessment class for NP, I wish I had this then. I am now off to a new clinical site and this will be useful for charting since I do not know if I will have templates. It is a great tool.

I recommend this cards for med students and residents, it could be a great help on a hard workday at the hospital or when you try to summarize your knowledge preparing for an exam

Fits well in a pocket, is waterproof, and is packed with a ton of relevant, useful information. It was a really handy tool when I was with a patient and wanted a quick reminder of ROS questions or physical exam material. It was helpful prepping charts during my family medicine rotation as I planned out what I wanted to talk about with each patient. It was helpful when writing notes as well; it helped me remember what I wanted to talk about and in what order. The only downside to this was that it had so much information in such small (although definitely readable) print that I was constantly flipping through it trying to find the relevant information for what I needed. I also felt pretty foolish sometime having something that said "History and Physical" on it as I looked at the cards in front of patients. It was a really nice crutch to have though, I thought it was just as easy to flip through as Maxwells, and it had a lot more information that I needed than Maxwell's did. I eventually stopped carrying Maxwell's in my pocket during my third year of medical school and carried this instead. I would definitely purchase it again.

I'm a nursing student and these help me so much during clinical rotations when I'm doing assessments. I love that they explain what abnormals you should be looking for and they fit well in my scrub pockets.
