LED Downlight Dimmable RGBCW,Bluetooth Mesh Color Changing 5W 300LM LED Recessed Ceiling Spotlights for Living Room Bedroom Bars (4 Pack)

I ordered these for my kitchen ceiling but as usual I didn't read the listing properly and on opening, I found that these were mesh bluetooth and not wifi. This was my own fault and in no way down grades these lovely, well made lights. Unfortunately I won't be able to use these as I had intended but I'm sure that I will find another use for them in time. This set of four inset RGB spot lights use only five watts each and still manage to put out a great deal of light even in colour mode, some I have tested before have been great in the white tones but very dull when using the colours, these however don't have that problem. I wired these up temporarily just to test them and connected them via bluetooth the the app' on my iPhone this was a very easy setup and all four of the light were paired quickly and without any hassles. After playing with the settings and colours for a while I turned them off for an hour or so but when I tried to turn them back on I found that I had to manually reconnect them to the app' again as they had become unreachable. I tried this again some time later and this time they connected without a problem. I don't really know if this was just a hiccup or an inherent problem but they did seem to be fine for the rest of the day. When choosing your LED lighting you will need to choose between wifi and bluetooth as the two types can't be mixed into one array. These are mesh bluetooth so more sets can be added and controlled as one, If you are not worried about having these lights enabled to a smart voice system such as Alexa then you will find that these are easier to setup however, if like me, you want all of your devices connected to one smart home system then you will really want to purchase the wifi type. Brilliant bluetooth smart bulbs with deep colours and bright whites.

In the box you get the four downlighters and Instructions. You do need to download an App to control these lights and, once set-up, you can use your phone or tablet. The lights themselves are what are called RGBCW, which are the more advanced type. With normal LEDs, you have RGB and the white colour is made up of combining all three. These lights have a dedicated Cool & Warm White LED. This gives better colour representation. It is important to note that these lights do not come with any caballing or plug. Each has a 10cm wire, which contains Live and Neutral wired. As these are going in my new office, I have not installed yet but have been able to test on my desk. Downloading and pairing this App using my Android device was quick and easy enough to do. The App has the usual functionality you find on most: Colour control, Music Sync, Mic Sync, and various modes e.g., Flashing, Strobe, Fade, etc. What this App does have that is different is the ability to use your devices camera to choose a particular colour, say the wallpaper in your house, and the lights will switch to that. I think this function is very clever indeed. Makes for almost exact colour matching of your lights to your environment. When you consider these spotlight s are RGBCW and have that great colour function, I personally think they are very good value for money. I fitted these lights within minutes they are fast to install as with all spot lights. Lucky enough the holes drilled previously are the same size so it was a direct swap. When I installed the lights and turned them on they came on with a cool white to warm white fade until I installed the app. This was done simply on my Apple phone by holding the camera to the side of the supplied box, this took me straight to the app and was able to install and control the lights. One thing I noticed straight away is that I could not dim the lights via my dimmable switch on the wall. This for me is a pain as I don’t want to always get my phone out to dim the light. The light is super bright on 100% and is nice and slim line in the ceiling. You have many different light sequences to choose from if you fancy something different. Via the app you can keep lights individually or bank them as a group. I really like everything about them except the fact you cannot dim them via the switch on the wall. These downlights are awesome but the only thing that lets these down is the fact that when you are finished altering and playing with your new RGB lights for some reason it disconnects each light from your app and then when re-opening the app it will not let me re-connect them for some unknown reason? Apart from that when they are connected and working they are great bit of lighting kit to have as downlights. They are super easy to install and fit securely. There is no instructions inside the box but they do give you instructions which is a QR code on the side of the box, so you simply use your device camera to access them online, Saving the trees count! At the side of the instruction QR code is also the direct QR code for the correct App to use for these lights, being straight forward to install on my smart phone and sign up for my account to connect up my lights. I have to mention that there is a super cool tool within the lights App and what it does is it's like a camera and if you hold it over a particular item of colour, such as your room colour scheme you are wanting to match your lights too then you simply hold the camera over the colour and press the on screen button titled "capture colour" then this will automatically send that perfect colour to your downlight and it will all match perfectly! I must add that you make sure whilst capturing the colour you are wanting, is that the + is directly on your chosen colour, I love that about these lights as I am one of them people that if the shade of colour is not the correct shade then it does not match at all and that alone will bother me, Haha. Some parts of the App is in a different language even though I have English selected which can be a little frustrating. The lights themselfs are great but personally I'd say that the connectivity needs work on and the App.

Great set of lights. Easy to install: just follow the user manual. Mobile application will let you control the lights and all other options. Stylish finish to any room of your choice. Some electrical experience required. Keep in mind all specifications and requirements before purchasing. Overall great value for money 10 out of 10

Its 5W and pack of 4. Easy to install and works perfectly. Its smart light set, you can control it via mobile phone. The light synchs with music. Basically you can choose the mode you want to :). Just loved it

This four pack of LED downlights working very good with no any errors, easy to install. They have adjustable color temperature from 2700K-6500K and brightness. It has 16 million kinds of rich colors, you are able to choose your favorite colour on any occasion. What is best these light can change with the rhythm of the music. You can connect with them by Bluetooth using application. These light are perfect for party. Good made lights. Worth to spend any penny for sure. Recommend.

this set of smart lights is very tricky to set up at first, the app could use some improvements but overall the light is bright and colourful and it can be dimmed which is a plus
