A Thunder of Monsters (Songs of Magic)

I totally recommend this 3 books. I'm an adult but i also love to read books for young readers or children, if they are well written and credible enough, which is the case. This third book was my favorite, specially the ending. WOW. JUST LOVED IT. The characters are so well written, the chemistry between them, specially between our main trio *.* they are so strong. I loved the drama, the humor, the creatures. I just love this kind of books. I will definitely read more books from this author in the future ;)

My son, who has just started his GCSEs, doesn't really read for pleasure any more. I bought him this book in hope because he really enjoyed the first two. He has already finished it and loved it. I don't think it stretched him in terms of vocabulary but I think his GCSE texts do that. He just read it for fun and I am so pleased that this book has reminded him that reading can be enjoyable.

We have waited patiently for this book and it was well worth the wait. A brilliant climactic ending to a wonderful tail of friendship and perseverance. We read these aloud with our boys, 11, 9 and 5 and they were all keen to hear what happened next. The characters are believeable and it ended with a delightful last line that made us excited for more all over again!!!! Highly recomended for all ages to share in the joy of great storytelling together.

I LOVE this series. Really humorous, engaging, exciting books with rich characters I care about. My kids liked it too!

This whole series just captured mine and my daughters imagination, everyone knows the tale of the Pied piper but do they really??? With a vast abundance of magical creatures and a unique world, every return to this series is a joy. Also the covers are gorgeous 😍

Had to re-read the first and second in the Songs of Magic series to then start this. It’s fantastic. My 10yr old son is re-reading the first two too! Hope the author writes more children’s books because these are captivating, fast-paced adventure books that are difficult to put down.

I read these with my 9 year old and we enjoyed all three of these books. So imaginative, creative and mystical! This one was just as good as the others! He did leave it slightly open to the possibility of another book. I hope he decides to write one.

I absolutely loved the third part of this series. Couldn't put the book down anymore.Hopefully the story will be continued... Need to know what Patch found out in the end whenplaying the flute again..

Excellente conclusion de la saga des "Pipeliers", les magiciens joueurs de flûte qui tels celui de la légende de Hamelyn tissent la magie des mélodies.Après un démarrage un peu lent qui a le mérite de remettre les situations en contexte, toute la deuxième moitié est un dénouement haletant, riche en rebondissements et en retournements crédibles, surprenants, et conduits avec brio. Une saga épique dans un monde richement tissé, qui mériterait bien son adaptation!

I loved this series! Full of magic, dragons, sorcerers, and griffins, the story pulled me in from the start and kept me hooked all the way through to the last book. Perfect for older children, the author has created a magical world with wonderful characters that will seem like old friends by the time you finish reading.This is the eternal fight of good against evil, with battles between humans and dragons, but it is also a story of friendship, of making mistakes, of struggling to be brave when things become difficult. But most of all, it is a story that children, and adults, can lose themselves in, travel to other worlds and have incredible adventures. I hope that Patch, Wren and Barver will be back in the future, I would love to read more of their stories. Highly recommend!
