Ohuhu 8.3"x8.3" Mix Media Pad Art Sketchbook 78 Sheets for Painting Drawing

High quality book, the paper is thick and I haven't had any issues with bleeding so far. It seems to take multiple different types of medium well and holds up even to watercolor paint. The included plastic sheet is convenient to make sure there's no bleedthrough when using markers, etc. Good quality for the price!

This mix media pad has GREAT texture fir mix media projects. It has good tooth to it for pastels as well. It comes with a sheet of material so it does not bleed through the next page. I love this! Perfect size, looks nice, and has a band to keep it closed.

I have DOZENS of different sketchbooks because I am very, VERY picky when it comes to sketchbooks. I have so many where I just do a few pages and abandon them. I was afraid to try the Ohuhu sketchbooks since they’re a bit pricey, but no more so than something like a Strathmore Mixed Media, and definitely cheaper than something like an Etchr. Since I absolutely LOVE Ohuhu markers, I decided to take a chance. I’m only about 10 pages into this one and already ordered another one! BEST mixed media sketchbook I’ve tried so far! Look, you’re never going to find a “perfect” mixed media sketchbook, because different media will work differently on different papers. It’s extremely unlikely that any company will invent a paper that can work equally well with alcohol markers, water-based markers, pencil, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, etc. But this is the closest I’ve ever found. It has a nice tooth that takes graphite and colored pencil well. Alcohol markers blend nicely on it with minimal patchiness. Water-based markers are slightly streaky, but they are on nearly any paper. It can handle wet media fairly well because the paper is pretty thick. You can’t use a TON of water on it without it warping, but it handles light washes like a champ and medium washes with just slight warping. Same for gouache. Watercolor pencils work BRILLIANTLY on it. Paint markers like Posca and Arrtx don’t pill the paper and look smooth on it. I will still keep trying different sketchbooks because I enjoy doing so, but this one is HANDS DOWN the best one I’ve found for an all-around mixed media sketchbook. I’m abandoning my old favorite, the Strathmore mixed media, because Ohuhu is cheaper, has more features, and works better, IMO. And I LOVE the square format! This just keeps proving to me that Ohuhu is the very best company for beginner to intermediate artists, period.

I bought this for my 12yr old daughter. She loves it a lot. The pages are very thick like she wanted and the book feels durable. It's a good size although it is heavy due to the amount of pages it has. Markers do not bleed through it at all which is great. It is an awesome gift.

mega high quality paper, it's huge, the paper is thick so it doesn't bleed when she uses posca markers, she loves it so much. she uses it almost every day.

love this sketchbook. works like you’d expect. pages are slightly off in sizing but very subtle. disappointing when using professionally. holds up well and smooth with pen work. really love the plastic sheet protector that it comes with to prevent bleeding into the next page

I love this book. First, it is hardbound and heavy. It’s not a throw in your handbag book. But, the pages are perforated so you can easily remove them. The paper is heavy enough to withstand watercolor and gouache and smooth for ink drawing. 120lb/200gsm. And, I didn’t notice this in the description, but there is a plastic (?) divider so you can use alcohol markers without bleeding onto the next page. And it opens flat enough. It also has a ribbon to mark your page. Very happy with this purchase.

Absolutely love this sketchbook. The paper quality is great not super thick or thin there’s a little bit of bleed through, but that’s totally fine since it comes with a paper protector. I love the hardcover design; it feels sturdy, solid, and high-quality. The black cover looks sleek, and the added pocket in the back is super handy. I also appreciate the perforated edges so you can easily tear out pages if you want to. Can’t wait to keep drawing and filling it with art!

Es muy grande pero gran calidad, tiene grano la hoja si lo buscan para dibujo a lápices deja textura, igual la hoja es muy blanca si buscan algo más cálido pero funciona bien

とても描きやすく真っ白なキャンバスはやはりいいですね。気に入ったのがあれば切り取れるし、何より描きやすい。 1ヶ月で描き終わりましたがページはしっかりあるので満足！

Honestly love this sketchbook. It lays flat, the paper is soft and sturdy, and the hard cover is nice quality. I was skeptical because the pages could come out and sometimes they detach much too easily on other sketchbooks but this hasn’t been the case for me with the ohuhu. I use mainly water based brush markers (tried ohuhu and tombow) and coloured pencils and it goes on great. I haven’t had any issue with bleeding through the pages but I tend not to layer marker too much. I did try with watercolour and there was some crinkling of the pages, though, so I wouldn’t really recommend it for that. I will be buying this one again once I finish mine!

This Ohuhu Mixed Media Pad has completely blown me away. The paper is thick, smooth, and handles quite a few mediums, alcohol markers don’t bleed through a lot only if you overlay them a lot, but if you put paper behind to protect other pages behind its fine! A range of fineliners and ink don't bleed out like many other sketchbooks, and even gouache/watercolor layer really nice without buckling or eating away at the paper. The hardbound square size I've found has been my favourite to work in, easy to hold not to big but definitely not too small, I’ve tried a lot of sketchbooks to find the best mixed media one but this one is easily the best I've found. For the price which is quite cheap considering the amount of pages and size, the quality is incredible!! Doesn't shock me that Ohuhu is such a reliable brand!
