Yes, it’s ridiculous. And awesome!
I saw this on a list of “ridiculous items you’ll actually use.” I bought one to hold my iPad Mini when I’m using it in bed at night. It seems very much like a gag gift, but it’s actually perfect for what I wanted. My hands start to fall asleep when I’m lying in bed at night holding the iPad above my face. (Yes, I have dropped the iPad on my face and given myself a bloody lip. Twice. First world problems.) This is adjustable and feels very heavy and sturdy so you don’t worry about it collapsing or tipping over on your bed. I got a used one because I kind of hated myself for buying it LOL, but I’m so glad I did!I sleep flat on my back and this thing is still able to put the iPad at an angle where I can see it even without being very propped up. It’s shockingly useful!

Easy to use and bendable arms (legs?) allow multiple positions
Have you ever dropped your tablet on you when trying to use it while lying in bed? Well, it hurts! This support works great with my large iPad. The stretchy cord holds my tablet securely so I can play or work on it without having to hold it with my hands. It is great for this. I tried to use it with my phone but it did not work. The stretchy cord is too long and my phone kept hopping off of the stand. I am very happy with the tablet on here and I use it frequently because I am inherently lazy and it works well.

Works so well!
I like to sit in my recliner and read. This holds my E reader just perfectly. It rests on the arms of my chair and is easy to adjust. It still allows space for my cat to sit in my lap. I purchased a bicycle cell phone holder and attached it to one of the arms. So I can have my cell phone right there in front of me also. This is wonderful for me because I am unable to hold these devices in my hands for very long without suffering pain and cramping. It is not very light weight but I think that makes it more sturdy. I highly recommend this product.

Perfect gadget if you like to read in bed!
Ok so I love this thing! It has made it so much easier to read my kindle in bed. It’s easy to adjust and folds up nicely. The only feature I wish it had is the ability to adjust the width of the slots (or offer varying width slots) so I could fit my kindle in with its case. I have to remove the case so now I only use the case when I travel with my kindle. Great product - exactly what I had hoped for so my arm no longer gets tired or hand gets cold holding my kindle paper white. Love it and def recommend for readers!

Perfect for reading/watching in bed
I put my Fire 8 tablet in it (without the case, which wouldn't fit), laid down in bed, set it up to straddle my belly, and could read Kindle books or watch YouTube videos or whatever's on Prime in bed. In the pictures on Amazon it looks like you have to prop your head up until it's almost vertical, and this is not true. I always have a long pillow under my back and head, another bed pillow under my head, and that's how I sleep, to help with reflux and sinuses. When I want to watch my tablet with this thing, I have a little pillow I add to that to elevate and tilt my head just a bit, not much. Perfect. It has a flat plastic hook that's attached to the top of the thing with a strong elastic band, and you can fasten the tablet securely in place with that, which I do. It's long enough to reach the top of my tablet when it's in the portrait orientation, and when I turn it 90° for the landscape orientation, I pull the hook around the bottom of the top (the part where the hinges are) before pulling it up to the top of the tablet, and that works great. All of the legs operate independently, so it's very easy to get it level and positioned just right. I love it.You can put a cell phone in it, too, but not with a case on it. Whatever you put in it needs to be thin, but I'm very happy with how securely things stay in it. If I weren't afraid I would fall asleep with it in place and then knock it over in my sleep, I probably wouldn't strap the tablet in. It's also nice, when I'm ready to set it aside, to just grab the top of it and set it on the other side of the bed, or on the floor, tablet and all.

If your tablet is in a case, this won't work
Great idea and well executed for those who don't have their tablet in a case, but if you do, it doesn't fit.If the design team added a ratchet style dial with varying widths, I believe the problem could be inexpensively remedied. Or snap on bottom holders of varying widths would work. Also, the ability to adjust the tension on the holding cord would improve this product so both horizontal and vertical viewing would be secure. Well made and great design but needs improvement and currently is of limited use.
