Fun to build. The foam paper is easy to manipulate and build. Well worth the time and money, especially if you have visited the original.

I bought this for my son for a school project. It took us a couple of hours to assemble it, and we had a good time working on it together. He kept saying how cool it was and was excited to show it at school. It is made well and is pretty durable. If I was offering advice on improving it, I would say that I'd like to have a way included in the kit to make it permanently assembled...maybe glue or tape to attach to the tabs underneath once that section is assembled. This isn't really the kind of puzzle you'd want to take back apart and re-work because the paper/cardboard tabs could easily bend and/or break off when being disassembled and would then not be reusable. Also, the instructions are only pictures (no words), so it takes a minute to figure out the process. Once you have the hang of it, it's super easy and lots of fun. My advice: just leave all the pieces attached to the cards they come on to keep it organized. Each piece is labeled with a small letter that corresponds with the instruction booklet, so leaving the pieces attached to the sheets until you're ready to use them seems to make it easier than flipping through each piece every time you need one. There is also a high-quality, full color National Geographic magazine/book that comes with it. That came in super handy for when my son presented it in class, and was a great teaching & learning tool for us. This is a great price for this item. I highly recommend and would definitely purchase this again.

The first thing I would have liked to know is that there are 2 versions of this model. The lighted one includes a battery pack and lights with clearbacked plastic window panels and some extra pieces designed to support the battery box. The non-lighted version has virtually opaque windows and none of the aforementioned features, I don't think an upgrade kit is available aftermarket. I could design my own kit but the windows would block almost all the light. Since I didn't start building it right away, I wasn't aware that a lighted kit was available, so I can't return it. As far as the assembly, I've put together the complete base and the main roof assembly. It seems as if it'll be sort-of sturdy, but I'm going to bolster the joints with a tiny bit of standard rubber cement. The kit also includes a small and very narrow roll of double sided adhesive to be placed in the spaces between the windows and hold the window panels in place. I've historically had a problem with peeling the backing off of double sided tape. I'll start by using the tape and if there's any problems, I'll switch to rubber cement. Overall, it seems like a well designed and manufactured puzzle, which comes with a short National Geographic pictorial booklet.

Terrible product to purchase. I wanted to buy these because how unique it looked and the realism. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on one then be highly disappointed, so I purchased this one for a discounted price of $20. The main complaint is that it does not piece together easily. The female foam portion that is suppose to go into the male foam portion for some items are good but others just an utter failure. Because they did not lock in, the structure does not lay flat on the base. I started to build the item and after have difficulties piecing it together I simply stopped and gave up. The instruction are fair but not always easy to understand, if I were you I’d just save your money ON “ANY” OF THE FOAM PRODUCTS THEY SELL!! I’m happy I only spent $20 rather than the $30 it normally sells for. I’ll stick with the wooden 3-D puzzles.

Easy to put together and the detail was beautiful. Pay attention to the directions and you should have no problems. I love that you can remove a section and see the inside. Great value for your money. I would definitely buy another model from them. I have received many compliments on the model.

Instructions are not in correct order and confusing. Have to back-track several times. Example, following instruction in the order presented, after installing the roof, the roof must be removed to install something else. In future will not consider this brand.
