Tough, light, strong and looks awesome spooled on the old rebuilt winch
I stumbled onto a 30 year old XD9000I that I rebuilt. I didn't want to use the stock steel wire rope, this was perfect for the winch. Take your time unraveling it from the packaging, it twists up bad. Once all the twists and kinks were out it spooled up without issue. Looks awesome. Easy to pull and haven't had any issues after pulling a few out of snow banks.

It works well after a couple of modifications
The rope was high quality, the hook even better. The sheath that protects thee end of the rope had to go. I’ve heard this is an issue with most lines, so I wouldn’t consider this a downfall, just cut it off. It got bound up in my winch on the first use, now it’s gone. The end of the line, that is a different color was also cut off, as it didn’t fit in the winch as designed.

Excellent!
It was easy to remove and replace my old metal cable with this synthetic rope. It took a matter of minutes and I was back in business. It works well when pulling trees and branches out of the rough and into the clearing, or when dragging a widowmaker onto the forest floor. The isolator, hook, and red strap all do their job well. I use each every time I'm winching. If switching from metal cable to synthetic rope, be sure to also switch your fairlead. This is critical.

Made in china
I've had alltop on my winch and I've got quite a few pulls off of it I have no idea how old it is because it came on my unit the synthetic group finally broke but only because of an accident of me being in reverse while trying to pull myself up a hill whoops... so I ordered a new one for my unit and it's made in China have no idea if the old one has been made in China either but kind of discouraging but we'll see what happens

Very thick vs 3/8” rope
The rope is great no complaints but anyone who is gonna take their 3/8 winch rope off and put this on you will have to cut a good 15’ off due to it being significantly thicker it takes up a lot more room on the winch spool and starts to rub on the inside of winch housing and also when you put on free spool it is a pain the a$$ to try and pull it off!

Definetly a great upgrade from 3/8"
Great upgrade from the previous 3/8 rope that came with the winch. It took a few times in and out during some pulls to get it stretched and seated well on the winch but its a definet game changer. Thing is strong and secure
