Chios Mastic Gum 100g/3.53oz Large Tears, 100% Pure Chios Mastic Tears

Arrived in great condition. They are hard and somewhat brittle (which is to be expected). Once they warm up in the mouth, the texture becomes firm and gummy. I don't bite down too hard on it when chewing, and that helps it to not stick to my teeth. I do about 4 sessions per piece over 2 days, storing the wad in a mason jar of spring water. Great value for the price. Helps tremendously as a digestif after a heavy meal, as well as freshens the breath. The flavor is like bitter pine, which grows on you quickly.

Hard, but I mix some larch gum in with it when I want something softer to chew. It's good quality. The pieces aren't uniform but it doesn't bother me. Doesn't splinter like some brands. Quality is good. If you've never chewed it before you should know it is not sweet, but has a mild pine taste that not everyone loves. Gives your jaw a workout and leaves your teeth cleaner. Also can be used for culinary purposes when ground. If I can't get the stuff from the bulk spice company I order it from much cheaper, this is my second choice.

I had bought this product a couple time in the past and with each time I would make it last a year. I loved this product. It closed my tooth gap, straightened my teeth, and strengthened my jaw line. I just recently bought the product again and excited to use it only to find out it’s not the same. It’s a lot softer than what it used to be. Takes forever to harden too. I used to just inhale through my mouth and the gum would start solidifying immediately. Now it takes minutes. Also, when receiving the package it was a solid melted brick of diluted mastic gum. Do you know how hot it would have to get to melt and turn into crystal clear solid brick?

This is a really good authentic mastic gum brand shipped straight from Greece. The box is labeled as being manufactured by the "Chios Gum Mastic Growers Association" and the pieces are fresh and generally large enough to be chewing gum sizes so you should have no problem chewing them. It does what mastic gum is designed to do. It helps get rid of bacteria and freshen the breath. The taste itself is odd and may take a little getting used to but once you do, it's not so bad and may become enjoyable. I am not sure if this will help with H. Pylori as I only bought it for chewing gum purposes. I was looking for a chewing gum that wasn't just sugarless, but contained no sugar at all and this was how I stumbled upon this product. I'm thankful that it's all natural and contains no extra preservatives or ingredients that are not good for your body. Since using it, I've noticed that not only does my oral health seems better, my entire digestive tract health and overall body health seems better. I have had mild acid reflux and heartburn in the past, but since changing my diet, I haven't experienced those symptoms as much. I've also had H. Pylori in the past, but do not know if I have it again now. Therefore, I can not attest to whether this product is effective against H. Pylori and the symptoms it causes. Anyways, regardless of its effectiveness in combating H. Pylori and bacteria, I will continue to chew this gum because I really do like the taste of it and the fact that it's sugarless.

Other than flavor it’s fine, arrived promptly It genuinely tastes like Lumber and pepper The flavor fades as you chew it but it doesn’t go away Very tough, good for working out the jaw Can make gums tender I like it because it’s actually a challenge to chew and it doesn’t make my stomach upset even when I chew several pieces at a time like regular gum. You won’t be blowing bubbles with this. I’m hoping that this gum will help remineralize my teeth but it’s too soon to tell if that has been affected at all. I wish the bag was resealable Some people complained that it stuck in their teeth but that hasn’t been an issue. It’s nothing like say a jolly rancher that cements my teeth together if I accidentally bite it. I like that it’s firm and doesn’t dissolve.

Good stuff. Very nice to chew and it gives your jaw a real workout! I got this shipped to me about two and a half weeks or three weeks after ordering it. It smells kind of like some kind of roots that would be used in chinese medicine and tastes like it came from some kind of tree, which it did. 100 grams will almost fill (3/4) an 8oz mason jar. The texture is very gummy you can chew a normal size piece for about 6 hours until it disintegrates. Also some pieces are harder than other and also harder to chew. I chewed two large pieces of mastic for about 9 hours the first day i got it and i could feel my jaw was quite sore. Its somewhat addicting to chew so now after chewing it for three days straight it really hurts to chew food, but i may chew more again today. It also seems to have some effects on the digestive system as i had diharrhea the day i chewed two pretty large pieces until they disintegrated and then i swallowed them. The taste is pretty nice actually and the texture is very gummy, it's almost indistiguisgable from a gum you would buy at the store except its on the harder side. Overall, 5 stars! very nice and a very pleasurable experience to chew it. Im looking forward to seeing what else this gum can be used for as well!!!! Update: After chewing this stuff for two months I've used about half and I have also burned some as incense, which I would only recommend if you like the taste of this gum as it smells pretty much the same when burned. I have noticed that my jaw has gotten quite a bit stronger as I can chew through one normal size piece (about 1-2 sticks of standard gum) in about 4-7 hours without my jaw getting very tired. Also, I've noticed when shaving that it is harder to get around the edge of my jawline than before and when I clench my teeth I can also see the muscles in my face are more defined and protrude more. I think over all my face has gotten more of a square look to it but i actually think it's an improvement.

This gum starts off sticky and becomes more like a hard strong as you chew. I had to move it around in my mouth for the first 4-5 minutes so it would stop get stuck to my teeth. Once exercised it worked very well for hours. There is almost no flavor but I got a good law workout. 100g for $40 is a better price than other brands but it appeared I was going to receive 10 smaller boxes of gum. 100g checks out but I perceived a lot more product. Most brand are $20-$25 for on 15g -25g

Flavor is very mild and i would describe it to be a bit like what tree sap smells like. Personally, I like the taste. I bought this to chew during long surgeries. I started chewing gum but want to avoid the microplastics and artificial sweeteners. This is perfect! It was expensive but i can chew the same piece for many, MANY hours!! Days even. The funny side effect I had was the first day, i had chewed a piece for a few hours and took it out in the evening. My jaw was achy from the chewing and i felt very sleepy. I battle awful insomnia every day. Can’t fall asleep nor stay asleep. When i tell you i fell right asleep and didn’t wake up until 45 min before the alarm… incredible. I knew it was all psychological from my jaw being fatigued, yet i fell right asleep like a normal flipping person! Tonight is my second day with the gum and im off to bed. I feel like it will happen again. Beware, the head/neck & ENT surgeon I work with has good amount of experience with TMJ. Overuse of the jaw can cause it so i will be careful and i hope you will be too. Moderation. I probably won’t use this at work so much as just an hour before bed. Sleep is priority over all else.
