Screw in design
These use screws and it works quite well. This came with a little tube of glue that is applied to the screw hole before inserting the screw and tightening it with a screwdriver that comes with it as well. This locks the screw in place. I previously tried a set that had a pin that was pushed through a metal "cap" and it wasn't't securely fastened. Not sure if I did it wrong or what. But when the button cap came off there was that nasty "pin" that stabbed me once or twice. This is not going to happen with this design. My only gripe was I wanted the buttons to be larger and thicker. But this works fine, great value and comfortable.

So far, so good!
My hiking shorts kept losing the button which closes the shorts at the top of the zipper. I kept sewing the buttons back on until one day the button snapped at the button center where the thread loops to hold on the button. I was going to sew on a replacement button when I realized that I can no longer see to sew the button back on. I needed a different solution. Then I found these screw on Jeans buttons. All I had to do was pop a hole through the shorts, insert a very small screw, and then screw on the button head. Works similar to the closing button on a pair of jeans. No more sewing. My kit came with a miniature screwdriver and a tube of Locktite to coat the screw threads before attaching the button head. Worked perfectly and as expected. Now time will tell if the Locktite keeps the screw in place. If not, I always have a tube of super glue...

Handy replacements for your jeans…
Lost or damaged button on your favorite everyday jeans? These buttons can easily replace/repair your jeans. I didn’t know these were available until I looked for them when my button broke. Ordered these as a replacement and they work great. Easy to install abd use and look great!

This button worked perfectly on my man's pair of Lee jeans. It's super easy to do and holding up nicely after several months use. So happy to find this brand.

Nice button but too short for jeans waist button usage
These are nicely made buttons and I really like the color, but both the screw length and button post are too short for using on jeans for the waist closure button, at least for the pants I was trying to use them with (3mm thick at that point). For these the screw length is around 4.7mm, and the button post is 3.5mm. That would have made the button very hard to get in and out of the hole, plus not much grab for the screw. That screw needs to be a LOT longer otherwise it will be a bear to get on and not strip the screw. The Dritz 4-38 buttons that I normally use (and ran out of) on the other hand have a button post of 6.1mm and the backing pin is 7mm and work great. Decided to try these as I thought I needed something larger in diameter, but decided to return these and buy the 4-38 buttons again. I'm kinda questioning the screw method too, seems like it would easily unscrew. They did include thread lock fluid with it which maybe will help. The Dritz buttons can be a pain to install, but if you use a good bench vise and line everything up at the beginning it's easy to push the pin in. Just have to be careful not to push it too far in otherwise it will poke out the front.
