55mm DIY Tide Quartz Controlled Repair Wall Clock Movement Motor Mechanism

Love this thing. We take a look before we drive to the beach. Tells you if the tide is coming in or out and for how long. We have another at home so we know what’s happening at the beach as we daydream about returning. Extra cool. 12 o’clock is high tide and 6 is low tide. In the photo, we are just less than half way to high tide.

I am half way up the coast of Maine and it works like a charm! Must remember to set it by the setting wheel in back instead of moving the hands.

Taking apart the clock and installing the new brain pack was easy. When I put the hands on never worked properly.

Bought this movement for a DIY laser-engraved tide clock. It’s easy to assemble, but the timing drifts out of sync after a few weeks, even when set precisely to the new moon. For a decorative wall piece it gets the job done and looks great, but it requires regular resetting to stay accurate.

I had an idea to make a Tide clock with a nautical chart background, however I may need to find one of these with a longer stem for that project. This one found a home in an existing art work. Had it a couple weeks now and seems to stay accurate. Low tide for beach combing!

Needed to replace a failed tide clock mechanism. Excellent Value; fit perfectly; keeps perfect tide time. Easy setup, very fine quality; very quiet clock movement.

This was to replace a dead movement on a 4 year old tidal clock. Installing it was easy and the unit appeared identical to the original movement. It is tough to believe that these things have such a limited life span and hope that the defect of the original was a one time event.

I used this with an empty Tide pods container to make a tide clock. It is glorious

I've had the same beautiful tide clock for over 25 years but the mechanism finally gave up. This new mechanisim fits perfectly
