Solar “must have” tools.
Good function for the budget conscious people who want a decent price on a product that works. Item function is good, though. My fingers are too big for the solar connector release mechanism, so I use this particular tool constantly.

Great for old hands. I have weak hands and these help me undo my solar when packing up camp.

Good product, buy many
These work very well but you need to buy 2 packages. They are plastic, which will break but seem to work the best of the MC4 spanner tools. Will buy again.

These didn't hold up for me.
Two of these broke after one simple project. My suggestion is buy a metal tool.

Good for MC4 internal connector binding
There are some MC4 solar panel connector wires that use an internal connection binding. This type of tool makes this kind of MC4 connectors easy to disassemble. Without this style of tool, it’s a struggle to get the MC4 connectors apart. The other type of MC4 connector uses external binding which this tool will not separate.

A necessary tool to install solar panel ends
These tools help it in installing solar panel connectors. I thought they look cheap and I didn’t think they would hold up well.. I was wrong. They did a great job and made life easier.. They were inexpensive and I consider them a necessary tool when working with solar panels.

Wrong size and breaks in a week
Made from super cheap pot metal that broke within a week . Also did not fit my mc4 connectors for removal. Avoid.

They do the trick!
I recently added a solar panel to my camper van and while testing the cable connections did not realize that MC4 cables needed a tool to disconnect them... whoops! These arrived quickly and worked great. I have a couple in my van and a couple in the workshop, just in case I need to use them again. The blue color makes them easy to locate in my toolbox.
