RIGPlantronics 400HX Stereo Gaming Headset

Bought these because they were on sale and I liked the fact the mic could be removed and the ear cups could be removed from the head band. Now when they arrived I was surprised with a code for a free 2 year subscription for DTX sound for the headphones. The sound and clarity that these headphones provide is amazing and the fact I paid $40 for this quality of headset and sound quality cannot be beat, they are also really comfortable and it really makes playing xbox series x even more enjoyable.

The headphones and headband are incredibly comfy and never hurt my head. Both the game and voice audio sound great

I needed to grab a set of headphones for my XBox after one of the kids "borrowed" my other ones. I admit I was really skeptical about the Rig series. I DJ and do audio editing so I'm very critical of how things sound. I was shocked to find out these were designed and sold by Plantronics. If you're unaware, Plantronics makes business communication devices that are typically of stupendous quality. They are a bit pricey but, very worth it for their clarity and quality. Once I installed the Dolby Atmos software included with them and made a few changes in the software I was presented with exactly what I expected from the company. It was pleasure to use them to watch movies, listen to music or play games. A few days ago I had to use them on my PC since my other headset simply fell apart. Again, after installing the Dolby Atmos software, you get 2 licenses and a 24 month membership, and making the desired changes. The quality and clarity repeated itself.When I first received them, I was not happy about how they fit. The band itself is just plastic. In order to adjust them you have to snap the cups out and move them up or down accordingly. Even in the last hole I never felt they fit quite right. I don't exactly have a small head and I, at that time, had shoulder length locs. To give you an idea about sizing. When I rode, I had a 3x motorcycle helmet. Now that I've shaved them off they fit quite well and are still on the last hole.The microphone, which is removable, is very clear. I tested it in competition matches with friends and streaming to Twitch. No one had any complaint about being able to hear me or understand what I said.The one thing I am not happy with is the volume slider. It is the only component that doesn't feel up to the Plantronics standard. The slider is noisy and causes static until you stop moving it. It does have a volume lock at the top that I use and just adjust settings in the software instead. There's also a mute switch on that piece. It's flawless. It didn't make any noise when turned off and on and it was completely silent when I turned mute on.

The quality was top tier compared to others we had purchased on here. Performance is great especially when it comes to sound quality. The comfort of the padding on the ear piece is nice. Value is perfect for it's size and everything.

My children have tended to break many different kinds of headphones for gaming. These seem to be very sturdy and they have not yet been broken.

The media could not be loaded. Long story short… I have been looking of a pair of headsets as light as possible for my gamer husband after two spinal (neck) surgeries anything and everything would trigger bad pain on his neck, I’ve already had done soooo much research on good quality lightest weight gaming head phones. We had unsuccessfully purchased 6 different brand headset pairs but, he always had to go back to the small plug in, no noise cancelling, horrible audio headphones.I came across these headphones at a Walmart by a heavens sent miracle. I just saw them, held them from the sample display and was in awe on how light they are, had to purchase and at the price tag of around $40 couldn’t ignore them. After that although I already had my own pair of fairly good headset I had to purchase a second pair for my self.I promise you!!! you won’t find a lighter pair of gaming head set.*Great quality built.*Doesn’t make my ears sweat due to the mesh material they are made with.*Amazing audio quality.*I like the feature where you can remove the microphone piece and wear them outside as just earphones.*It has a mute and volume control swipe button.*The noise canceling is amazing.*The model 400HX comes with a Dolby Atmos free 1year subscription (only for XBox)
