Easy to install, bright lights!
I clipped the plug and hardwired these lights. Easy to install, very bright! These pictures are of the Soft White, 12V, 24W lights.I bought the Natural White first but felt the soft white went better with my cabinetry. (See review under Hitlights Natural White to see pictures/differences)I am very happy with my purchase!Note: the Soft White is 10mm whereas the Natural White is 8mm…in case you need to make an angle - choose correct connectors.

These lights are awesome and easy to install
I spent a lot of time researching before I chose Hitlights. The most compelling feature was that you could cut the roll every 2 inches. One manufacturer has cut lines every 13 inches...that would prove to be disaster. I also found super strong double sided tape--acrylic waterproof removable residue-free strong mounting tape. This was the perfect tape to outline where I wanted the light string to go. When I was ready, I took the adhesive off the Hitlights roll and placed it on the double sided acrylic tape. This string of lights was going no where. Tape on tape...it doesn't get any better...plus this acrylic tape is pretty invisible. The cuts that I had to make in the light string was easy and attached well to the connectors that I purchased. Make sure you buy 10 mm / 2 PIN connectors if you have single colored lights. I also purchased male/Female cable to get everything where it needed to be. There were outlets above the cabinets and that made life easy. I purchased 2 12 V power supply ...one for each side of cabinets. It took less that 2 hours. I had to drill a few holes in top and bottom of a few cabinets to get the extension cable where it needed to be. Make sure you drill the holes big enough for the ends of the cable to pass through. Trust me...very easy with Hitlights.

Just Right...
I'm a very picky consumer, it takes a lot to impress me. Before buying the lights, I called "Hit Lights" with some questions. They did a great job informing me about LED strip lighting. The product came and did exactly what I expected - dimming (in sync with several LED puck lights on the same circuit), cutting, soldering, etc - it went very smoothly. Would highly recommend the company and their product.

Customer Support is no help.
I had to buy another set of light strips because the first set would not stop flickering and then stopped working all together. Customer support ran through the card of questions and they concluded that the issue was to not use the HitLights connectors, that they sell for these LED strips, and lastly to rerun all the interconnecting wiring! I told them I could not do that because it was preinstalled behind the walls and that was not an option. They continued to blame the wiring the power supply and never their product. Even thought i have an electrical engineering background they continued to tell me that i was wrong and the only way to make it work was rerun the wiring and the LED strip lights were not the issue. I purchased another sets of lights and what do you know.....they worked!! Conclusion: Good when they work and bad when you need customer support.

The right color
When looking for LED strip lights, it has been hard to find one with a good color. Some other ones claim to be warm white, but they come out as pinkish purple. While the high density one is closer to a daylight color, it does run a little warm as far as physical temperature is concerned. For my needs, I need to get the low density lightsI also definitely recommend getting the connectors from Hitlights if you plan on doing any sharp turns in the lights.

Best strip lights I've ever used.
So I've installed around 1600' of different led strip lights over the last few years, and these are the best standard density strips I've used yet.First off, the adhesive sucks on all led strips I've ever used. If you have metal, plastic, or finish grade wood it works fine. But if you have an uneven surface, I use screw clips and contact adhesive to stick them down.I also recommend you solder joints between pieces of strip (only hook up one strip to the source, don't daisy chain them). The connectors come loose quite often, and are unreliable. These are the most comsistent strip lights I've ever used color and quality are excellent. Plus they're UL listed!
