I needed a good quality pump for taking fluid samples from the generators I work on. Works extremely well and the vacuum release button is a definite plus.

Great for oil sampling! I also used it for flushing my power steering system out with fresh fluid. Hooked it up to the return line and pulled fresh fluid from the reservoir. Worked great !!

Good packaging, quality product, as described will accept multiple size hose. Works very well. Makes taking samples extremely easy and clean. So if you are tracking the wear on your engine or monitor the transmission or coolant this makes it so much easier to obtain samples. The release button allows you to exactly control the sample size and stop the flow when you want. Very sturdy build quality. Think it will last for many years.

I bought this so I could keep tabs on my new Truck and its engine, since there's a huge recall on earlier model years. First, this works amazing! I was able to put a thin tube down the dipstick tube and pull oil into the bottle! Be sure you order wide mouth bottles with a 38-400 cap. Many bottles sold here are wide mouth, but do not have that thread on them. Also, new GM oil dipstick tubes are incredibly small. A 1/4 OD tube will not go down to the oil. You need a smaller diameter one. Search for "4mm OD Bowden Tube" you can buy a very short length for just a couple dollars.

This pump works great! It has and keeps great suction, it pulls the oil up fast, and its durable! I have had mine for a few years now and it has maintained its functionality. I use mine for Engine oil samples and air compressor oil samples on locomotives.

I purchased this unit to take an engine oil sample, I ordered 3/32" tubing (GM dipstick) from another site, since they mentioned No bottles or tubing are included with this unit. I am very upset at this company though, as I just spent an hour trying to find fittings for the tubing, that I thought was necessary. The tubing actually goes directly through the knob at the top of the pump. Since the pump accepts 5/32, 1/4, and 3/32 size tubing... The 3/32nd size tubing was very loose. I thought I needed a fitting to connect. What you have to do is extend the tube through the knob and come out the bottom, and then turn the knob very hard to crush the o-ring to make up the diameter of 1/8th inch! With a larger tubing you would probably only have to gently turn the knob, but with the small tubing you have to really crush the o-ring to make a vacuum seal.

Where has this been all my life? So much easier than catching a sample during an oil change or worse asking for a sample when getting a fluid change and they forget it. It’s so simple to use and you don’t even have to clean it. Oil flow starts easily with a pump or two. 1/4” line fits perfectly in it and then just watch your cup fill up and press the vacuum release button to stop the flow. I also got the cups from Lubeflex. Made in america they say and I like that. It does have some knurling on the handle other look alikes don’t have. I love it. Makes oil sampling so easy and fast.

Works good easy to use it's a good quality unit.

Because oil is thick pull handle slowly or it will break. Works well if you do multiple pulls
