Have a proper sub box for them to be in.
I have installed them in my 2001 monte carlo ss and I love that they work in a sealed enclosure and ported.

First Kenwood. Ending up being a great sub!
I never really looked at Kenwood subs before, but this was the one sub that had the specs to match my box perfectly. After a few days to break in, this sub is really good. Hits very low and smooth, and I have it in a small sealed box. Kenwood recommends .88 cu ft, and my box is .85, which is prefect. Also, this sub was not too deep (mounting depth) for my box, while at the same time it's not a shallow-mount, which I didn't want. Also, it looks great. It is honestly one of the nicer looking subs on the market in my opinion. I can definitely recommend this one.
