Works like a charm.
As a nurse who has used this very product on the med cart to administer many meds- itโs as exactly expected. Purchased for my mother to use for my father who has swallow issues. Works great to crush pills (including multiple at a time). Absolutely recommended over the screw/twist crushers. Plus, no device to clean. Just use the pill pouches which allow for easy powder pour into small med cup after crushing. This allows for easy mix with pudding or apple sauce.

Works like a charm!
I have a 5 y.o son whoโs is autistic and also adhd. So with that comes a few medications that he absolutely needs for his day to day life. Weโve been using a hand crank pill crusher/grinder for a year now and Iโve noticed that if itโs not cleaned out everyday the build up of medicine powder will actually mold!! With the way the older grinder we used was it was beyond complicating to take apart. Clean. And than it had to sit and air dry for a whole day which made it even worse because we would need to use it and it was sitting drying! As I was looking for another alternative for pill crushing on Amazon I came across this item. The silent night pill crusher; and was immediately reminded that Iโve seen this before at hospitals so I knew it had to be good. This is seriously the best thing! It turns full pills into a complete powder in seconds and not only that but itโs sanitary and clean! The bags it comes with that are used are sturdy and thick and weโve not had one puncture yet. Once I put a pill in and crush it once I move it around by shaking it easily and crush again. This allows the pill to not be crushed over and over again in the same spot which I could see could lead to a puncture if crushing a larger thick pill. I highly Recommend and will be buying a 2nd one soon to send to school for the school nurse to use while my son is there during the day.

Buy this one! Itโs worth every penny!
If youโre having to crush pills for a loved one this is the only way to go! Having to crush 36 pills per a day i wouldnโt have ever gotten done without this! Itโs definitely worth the money and i see why nursing/rehabilitation homes have them. Itโs easy to use and crushes to what ever consistency you need! Worked great for me and also kept my Dads gtube from getting clogged.

Solid, simple and effortless to crush the toughest pills
If you have a need to crush pills, this unit makes quick work of the job without the need for high grip and twist strength that every other crusher we have ever seen or used. It is pricy, but it is quick and efficient without the cramps and pain in my hands. (We have had to crush pills to administer via a feeding tube for 25 years)

Easy to use
This pill crusher was recommended to me by a med tech at an assisted living center when my mother was in hospice. It is easy to use and makes crushing pills much easier.

Professional pill crusher
These are costly, and when my husband came home from hospital with a G-tube I initially bought one of the cheaper plastic crushers, that worked great until I came to crush antibiotics. I decided to throw in the towel and buy this professional crusher. It works well and in hindsight I should have invested in this one from the get-go.

Pricey industrial crusher w some modest drawbacks
Good: this pill crusher could probably crush pills an hour a day for a decade and not fail or wear out. It's heavy, large, sturdy. Commercial grade. It was designed to enable full dissassembly and cleaning. Bad: after you crush a pill, the powder is in a proprietary plastic sleeve, and we found that getting the powder out is oddly difficult. It sticks to the sleeve losing 0.4% of the medication according to a test I ran w a miligram scale. The loss ratio is likely similar to what it would be for a good mortar and pestle. Rinsing the sleeve and consuming the liquid recaptures nearly all of that loss. Manufacturing tolerances for the handle are also wide -- it wiggles a lot. At this price I had hoped it would easily crush w high yield, and comes close to doing that. This is a serious piece of equipment suited for commercial application. If you have to crush lots of pills on a regular basis, Silent Knight could make your task much easier to do while also ensuring consistent dosage. Recommended: one star deducted for high price, machining tolerances, and slight loss of powdered medication to walls of sleeve.

The best pill crusher on the market!
Pricey but excellent product that is so worth it. I had purchased cheaper ones from other brands, but ended up getting this one and couldn't be happier. If you're considering whether to buy this or not, please just get it!
