Seagate One Touch SSD, 2TB, External SSD, USB 3.0, Blue, 1 year MylioCreate, 4 mo Adobe Creative Cloud Photography, 3 year Rescue Services (STKG2000402)

I bought this some time ago and it it is still working. It gets used most days. Data transfers are so much faster than the older external drive it has replaced. I store all of my VSTs and VST presets (data) for "Komplete Ultimate 15". I always feel safer with buying Seagate products. They have always been reliable for me.

It does what it's supposed to do.

Does what it meant to. Extremely small and portable. Very fast recall and transfer speeds. If you need a lot of storage would highly recommend.

An exceptional drive which is very fast indeed and cool running. It was very straightforward formatting it and then using it as a backup for my M1 iMac using OS Monterey. My only, minor, criticism is the length of the cables that come with it - 9 inches - come on!

Done my research here, and fair do's, it works. No issues linking up with the PS 4 Pro. My get one for the PS5 so far, so 👍

It was recommended to me to replace my old one. Delighted with dinky size. Works well So far so good

Really small in the hand, huge capacity and fast, whats not to like.

The Seagate SSD Drive is super easy to install. Comes with a USB-A/USB-C and a USB-A/USB-A connector cables to accommodate your connectivity needs. Seagate backup software is easy to load and use, and makes for a very effective backup or sync capability. The SSD Drive is super fast and provides large capacity storage is a very small space. The drive is also very portable so makes a nice addition to a laptop setup.

Ich nutze sie als Arbeitsplatte für meine laufenden Fotos des Jahres. Kann mich nicht beklagen über die Performance. Nebensache: Das Mylio Abo hab ich ausprobiert. Hmm... Von der Sache her echt cool. Leider ab dem 3 Gerät unüberschaubarer Datenaustausch. Die App auf dem Rechner als Hauptdatenbank drehte irgendwann völlig durch und hörte garnicht mehr auf zu synchronisieren. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass das Tool nicht gut mit mehr als 2 Geräten klar kommt. MacBook als Hauptdb. iPhone und iPad wurden synchronisiert. Da man die HauptDB auch nicht auf eine externe Platte auslagern kann, führte dies dazu, dass ich das Programm schnell wieder deinstallieren musste, weil keines meiner Geräte in der Lage ist, die komplette mylio-Datenbank auf der Hauptplatte abzulegen.

This review is for the 1 TB variant. It was quite a surprise to open the box: The drive is *tiny*. (See photo with a 20-rupee note for scale.) Pros: → Like I said, it’s tiny. → Transfer speeds: I don’t know about USB ___, but with my USB 2.0 interfaces, the speed is close to the theoretical maximum. → This is not a pro—but rather, an anti-con: 931 GB is available for use, which is exactly what I expected. Some people expect a full 1,024 GB, though—but disks always afford less free space than advertised (do a simple search for why this happens). → If you’ll use the drive for backup, the backup software—which you can download for free once you register the product—has a clean interface. There are free alternatives for backup software, of course, so this a small pro. → The price is lower than you should expect, considering it’s a Seagate. Cons: → The cable is as short as the drive is tiny (see photo)—but this can be a pro if you have too many cables on your desk! → SSDs and HDDs are both always slower when connected to a USB hub rather than directly to the laptop or desktop—with the speed ratio being about 1.5:1. With this drive, though, the difference is more like 2:1. This *really* shouldn’t matter at all, but well, it is a small negative.

SSD is amazing and performs well too, it does the job as described in its description no false promises by the company. I was really very confused while making a purchase for the external SSD, gone through and compared all the competitors in the segment and zeroed it down to seagate nevertheless to say this was a great decision. Size of the SSD is really really impressive it is smaller than the wallet we carry and thinner than that too, precisely it would be somewhere half of my palm. Very impressive. Go for it.
