Easy to use and supported, a little better than CHIRP (but not a lot)
Registration and installation was easy. After install I rebooted to ensure any needed drivers were installed, and the software was able to connect to my FT-60 on the first try, no configuration needed. Step-by-step instructions were given on screen which helped as well. In that regard it's much simpler and more streamlined than CHIRP, where I may have had to fiddle around more with configuration and finding drivers.Beyond that however, it's pretty much the same. It fills in some values automatically and the RepeaterBook integration is good, so that's a plus. But overall I don't find it to monumentally better than CHIRP. I only bought this because CHIRP is reported to cause issues with Yaesu gear (whether CHIRP or Yaesu is to blame is debated) and isn't supported by Yaesu. But it did what it's supposed to and worked flawlessly which I'd expect for the price, so I'm happy.

The BEST cable!
This is the best quality USB serial cable I have ever seen. It IS NOT some cheam junk. The cable works with the radio and software flawlessly. What else can you say? It works perfect for the FT-60 / 60R radio. Well worth the money!

Worth every penny -- configuration now a breeze
Phenomenal software. What used to take me considerable time to program with button pushes and dial twists on my FT-60R is now as simple as updating entries in a file and sending to the radio. I have separate files for different locations and memory settings and it takes about a minute to upload one. You'll need to familiarize yourself with the cloning settings on the radio, but that's about it. The cable is impressive as well. One other note -- I found an issue that required a software tweak, and the tech team had the update online within a few minutes. Where else do you find that quick a response?

Makes it easy to set up and load channels into your radio
Makes configuring your radio a breeze. You can also store different channel configs on your computer and re-load your radio within minutes. You can set many of the radio's options with this software. This is my third ADMS software product and cable for my third type of Yaesu. They all work well on the different radios I have used them on. The cut and paste option is nice if you have different radios (you will need to buy the ADMS software for the individual type of radio). The price seems a little high but the time it saves is well worth it. I would and do recommend this software and cable for anyone with a menu driven radio. This company makes different software versions for most popular Ham radios.

Expensive, but very good.
I originally bought the item: Tenq® Usb Programming Cable for Yaesu Vertex Vx-1r 2r 3r 5r 150 180 210 210a Ft-40r 50r 60r Two Way Radio, which I had to return because Chirp and some other programming software were only able to retrieve from memory of the FT-60, but would not write back, giving an error. Then I bought this ADMS-1J cable that comes with it's own software (very similar to Chirp) and it works like a charm. It's more expensive, but it gets the work done right. I recommend this item. Sturdy construction. Fast transfer.
