We have a small 10 gal tank and one single goldfish that my kiddo won at a carnival. While planning for spring break travel, my daughter wanted to make sure Gilbert was fed. After a bit of research, we decided on this feeder. We use flake food and so far, it works really well for our needs. It’s battery operated and programmable to feed every 8, 12, or 24 hours. There’s a slide on the top of the feeder that controls how much food is released upon feeding. Will update the review once we get back from vacation. So far, it’s a 10/10.

A little larger than I expected which wasn't a bad thing, timer was easy to set for feeding and is really great for everyday use along with being gone for the weekend. I would definitely buy this again. Very easy to fill and affix to your aquatic tank. The fish food dispenses absolutely perfect due to being able to adjust the amount dispensed each time. It doesn't matter if it's flake or pellet food. The door has never gotten stuck and works as it should. An excellent product for the price. I will say that I have a hexagonal tank; therefore I had to place this on the front. Still giving 5 stars even with the size.

Initially, the feeder dispensed more food than necessary, which can be problematic in smaller aquariums where overfeeding can quickly lead to water quality issues. To remedy this, I placed a piece of tape over part of the dispenser’s mouth. This simple modification allowed me to better control the portion size, ensuring my fish received the right amount of food without overloading the tank. This adjustment was a small but necessary step to make the feeder work for my specific needs. It’s something to be mindful of for those with smaller tanks. Adjusting the dispensing mechanism or using a similar modification can help prevent overfeeding. Apart from this, the feeder has been a great help. It’s been reliable in dispensing food at the set times, and I haven’t encountered any jamming or malfunctioning issues. The peace of mind it offers, knowing my fish are fed even when I’m not around, is invaluable.

Works Ok, at least 4 days in a row

The automatic fish feeder is easy to set up and works as expected, but it has one problem: it tends to make the food wet inside, which can cause clumping. It does feed the fish on time, but the wet food issue is a bit frustrating.

Even if this fish feeder works in the beginning don't trust it to keep your fish alive. We excited to go on our trip for three weeks, but we wanted to make sure our fish were taken care of when we were gone. We purchased this automatic fish feeder and had it running the week before we left to make sure it worked. We were pleased when it worked as expected, but the idea "working" did not last. Fast forward, to our return home three weeks later and we all walk in the house wondering what is that smell. We looked at the fish tank to see nothing but black water. The feeder at some point emptied all the contents which clogged the filter so the water was not circling or getting air in it. The filter got so hot it warped the plastic background that we had on the outside of the tank. We can at the fish did not die hungry. On top of that, we need a new filter system because ours is now burt out.

Got it fast. Is what it is & worth the $$$. Very Happy on this one. LoL

Buen producto, cumple para lo que esta hecho, lo único. Que no me gustó es que solo puedes elejir la programación que alimente cada 8,12 o 24 hrs, y cada vez que lo cambias suelta comida, así que son detalles que complican un poco el uso y programación.

Kurz gesagt: ein absolut tolles Gerät! Wir waren ganz 4 Wochen auf Urlaub und haben sicherheitshalber meine Mutter ins Haus geschickt, um nach zu gucken ob das Teil auch wirklich funktioniert! Alles prima gelaufen, Fische wurden versorgt und alle sind happy!
