Superb balance, good weight, very sharp out of the box. This is very solidly made, smacks of quality much higher than the price point. It's been good for all things, including fine julienne and dice as well as carving meats. Retains edge very well. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a first proper knife and not just a cheap thing to chuck in the dishwasher.

Very good quality. Handle feel heavy. Easy to sharpen. I cook often and although I never had a branded German knife to compare to, this one is entirely satisfactory.to me.

After reading all the glowing reviews and watching people comparing this to expensive knives I bought it. But when using I noticed it lost it's sharpness very quick even compared to cheap knives I have. With less than 2 weeks of use I can now see damages in the blade when it was never even used to cut anything firmer than a carrot on a wooden cutting board. This is clearly not a well hardened steel despite the advertising. Blade is also too thick making thinly slicing things like onions very difficult.
