Excellent kit if you need USBc connectors of either polarity
These work great for shorting USBc cords etc. Soldering them is easy, and with a little shrink tubing I got what looks like a professionally made cable end. Good product!

Works well - I would buy again.
I needed these to make a USB C power cable for a custom job. Work very well. Nicely made. I would buy again.

Great boards
Easy to solder, good quality connectors. They do what they're supposed to do well.

Not bad
The female connector is wired as a host device, the resistors are configured as a pull-up (VCC is connected to the CC pins via the resistors). I would like have a way to easily reconfigure the connector to act as a slave device. Regardless, the quality is bad and data transfer operates at USB 2.0 speeds.

You can replace damaged USB C cable ends
You have to have good soldering skills to make use of these as replacements for broken USB C ends. Other than that they word very well and are recognized by chargers and device. You do have to solder all 4 wires, both the two power wires, and the two data wires, to get it to charge. It does not have an internal shunt to allow charging without data being transmitted. The unit is tiny, so I want to reiterate, you need to be able to solder tiny things in order to make use of these parts.

worked great for my arduino R/C project
so I'm using a atomic pi which only has 2 usb ports and 1 of them has to be a keyboard. so i split 1 usb + and - ports to 2 Arduino Nano with c connections. and i put a 6 pin switch for the D+ and D- lines. this allowed me to flick a switch and program each Arduino while both having power. and its always nice to have extra usb-C connections

This is a good product for the price.
Perfect for my embedded work.

Female connectors are practically useless for C-to-C cables.
My fault for not checking but the female of these are pretty useless without a resistor on CC1/2. Leaves them in the realm of only working non-USB3 compliant chargers, and USB-A to USB-C cables. There are pads for an R1 that are unpopulated, and I suspect go to CC1/2 and GND, but have not bothered to test because there's no way I'm getting a 5.1k resistor on there without a surface mount resistor and a hot plate which I don't have. Not sure if it's just soper stingy cost cutting or an oversite leaving R1 open like that if it does go to CC1/2.
