It good? for a portable machine.

This item is advertised as fitting all drain hoses on washers. It was an “also” item when I bought my mini portable washer here on Amazon so I figured it would be compatible. The rubberish cone with the clamp has a much wider mouth than the hose coming out of the washer. Even if you cut down as the picture shows, the cone would still be too wide and would not hold the two hoses together well. The hose from my machine does NOT go inside this extension hose which is what I thought would happen. They are the same width so you are relying on that cone shaped part to be clamped but since it is so wide, it does not work. If the extension hose was slightly wider than the one that comes on these small machines and you could get a little overlap and then clamp, it would work fine. I suppose you could cut the cone vertically and remove some of the circle piece to narrow it and then clamp it. Maybe I will try that. Also, when you put the hose that’s coming out of your washer into this extension and attempt to clamp it, you will see that the clip that holds the hose vertically on your washer (if you have that) will get in the way unless you cut it off. Once you do that, if this hose does not work out, you’ll have to figure out a way to get the hose to stay upright or find a new clip. I’d steer clear of this product.

It did just the trick for what I bought it for. I purchased the Giantex Portable Washing Machine from Amazon and I wanted to place it in my tub because it's much easier for me to do my laundry like that. Unfortunately the drain hose was too short and it didn't reach the drain on my tub. If I used it like that, the water would have gotten under my machine and messed up the motors. Anyways, I found this drain hose adapter and purchased it despite some reviews saying it doesn't work on portable machines. When I received it, I noticed that no amount of trimming was going to make the adapter part fit my drain hose. BUT, I tried the other end as some reviews suggested and it worked!!!!! Now, I gave it 4 stars because there is some leaking between my drain hose and the adapter. However, I use it in my tub so I don't mind the leaking at all. I'm sure if I were to use some plumber's Teflon tape, I could probably stop the leaking. But for what I'm using it for, I didn't find it necessary. I also trimmed the hose and it trimmed nicely. Just in case anyone else uses this adapter for a portable washer, here's a tip: buy disposable foot socks (the panty hose material kind) and attach them with a rubber band to the end of your drain hose to keep all the lint from clogging your pipes. You can't see the lint but trust me, it's there and it will do some hard damage to your pipes. I bought a box of 144 right off of Amazon and tie the sewn end just to keep it from having any lint escape. Sorry for the long review but hope this helps someone!!

Perfect for my portable washing machine! We hated lugging down our laundry, so we bought a portable washing machine for our apartment. This fit it perfectly!

THIS HOSE IS PERFECT FOR A USE NOT INTENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. I HAVE A CENTRAL AC THAT HAS AN OUTSIDE DRAIN PIPE CARRYING WATER FROM THE AC HANDLER. I HAVE BEEN USING A KITTY LITTER PAN TO COLLECT THE WATER AND DISPOSING OF IT AWAY FROM MY HOUSE'S FOUNDATION. NO MORE! THIS IS THE ONLY HOSE I FOUND ON AMAZON THAT CAN FIT A PIPE WITH AN OUTSIDE DIAMETER OF 1.5 INCHES. IT FITS PERFECTLY AND WITH INCLUDED CLAMP IT IS SECURELY FASTENED. THE LENGTH OF THE HOSE IS LONG ENOUGH TO CARRY WATER TO A BUSH NEAR THE COMPRESSOR, SO IT NOT ONLY CARRIES WATER AWAY FROM THE FOUNDATION OF MY HOUSE, BUT IT WATERS MY BUSHES!

Die breite Seite ist weich und lässt sich mit der Schelle befestigen, aber die andere Seite ist Steif. Somit ist sie nicht mit einer Schelle festmachen.

Se adapta bien al tamaño de la entrada del tubo.
