As long as you unlock it before plugging it into the computer, the computer will see it as just another USB disk. Will this effect the encryption capability?** A: However you choose to format the drive is independent of the encryption capability. The drive is encrypted in the thumb drive hardware/firmware independent of the drive formatting.
