Overall I am quite satisfied with this laptop. It has all the features I wanted and is fast with a good feel to the keyboard. However, I must complain about one thing - the description said this was supposed to be a Windows 10 laptop, and instead I got a Windows 10 S. Taking it out of S mode should not have been problematic, but it was a pain in the shorts. In order to do this, once you follow all the steps and get to the Microsoft store, it asked for an email and password so Microsoft can send you an activation code. I entered that information multiple times, however no email was ever received from Microsoft with the code, although Microsoft did initially send me a welcome email after I set up the computer. I finally had to set up a new email address, which worked. It was time consuming and very annoying.

This Acer laptop is the best I've owned so far for many reasons. I was able to get out of S mode quickly, it was NOT loaded with bloatware, it only came with two applications installed by Microsoft. This machine is Fast!!!

The headline says it all -- this thing is junk. It's loaded with bloatware. After I spent an hour deleting the junk, it takes forever to boot. Now, I can't get past the intro screen.I'll try to return it. If that's not possible, it's going into the trash.UPDATE UPDATE UPDATEI have updated from one star to five. I ordered this computer in Oct 2021 but because of family medical issues I did not work with it until Feb 2022 at which time I was VERY DISAPPOINTED -- slow to boot, updates took over ONE hour to install, VERY unhappy with it.When I went to SETTINGS, SYSTEM, ABOUT, the system identified itself NOT as an Acer 5, but as an HP 14-dk1xxx !!!!I ordered an Acer 5 15 with 8GB RAM and a 246GB SSD. I decided to throw the thing in the trash, but, before doing that, I opened the case intending to remove the RAM, SSD, and battery and toss the rest of it. When I got it opened, I discovered only 4GB of RAM. I had a 16GB RAM stick left from another project; removed the 4GB, installed the 16GB stick; also installed a 1TB HD from another project, just to see what happened.Turned it on and EUREKA!! Booted up immediately, apps opened instantly, updates installed in 2 minutes!!! Excellent performance!!So -- while I am now happy as a pig in mud, I question how it is that the description of the laptop on Amazon was so different from the one I was sent?

Whenever I press the @button a comma is coming up on the screen. It seems to be an Acer issue my sister bought another Acer laptop its the same issue.

I have had to block all updates and Windows 11 because it says it is having issues with the computer, so it deletes all the downloads and takes the machine back to its original state. Even then, I have to play with settings to get it to reconnect with my WiFi to get back online.

Everything as stated.... Great screen, SSD is very quiet & quick.. Windows 10 S is not easy to removes & only seems to allow programs from the App store... Well packaged & ready to go PC.. Can see why supplier got high marks... Would use supplier again

Works fine for browsing and streaming but it came with a generic power supply so that is suspicious. It does not always keep up with charts on think or swim. Surprised considering the hardware. Will pass on to my son for school and keep looking.

Much smaller than I’m used to, but the screen is good. Just started using it, but it’s working well.
