Doesn't work.. Bought this thinking I could transmit MIDI from a MIDI controller (Arturia Keystep) to a Korg Volca. I spent an hour thinking I had it setup up incorrectly before I tried an entirely different cable which worked. Different brand. Don't buy this cable if you're doing something similar.

Using this to send midi from my Circuit Tracks to my J6 and it works perfectly. Ordering another so I can control another synth as well.

I can't say how this cable works because I got it for novation circuit. I can tell the cable sends midi but apparently novation decided to use a different plug scheme because even when I found my old electribe breakout cable the circuit still didn't work with a regular male to male 🙄. Looking at other converter cables it seems like most devices are type A but there is also a type B that is on Amazon but currently out of stock at of this writing.

This Product worked perfect! I used it to replace a tone arm cable in a jukebox. It is much better quality than the original factory part and plugged right in.

Does not transmit MIDI data. I wasted a lot of time trying to configure MIDI out on T-8 to MIDI in on Volca Sample2; I finally gave up, got a different cable, and BOOM everything works. Don't waste your time on this thing. It looks like the correct cable, but does nothing. Is this a movie prop or something?

Thought it was type A when ordered. Pinout delivered doesn’t match what I could find on internet as midi. I cut the 3.5 side and soldered to wires mapping 3 pins on a different 5 din that I mapped versus continuity testing and that worked on my volca.
