As a dog sitter, I needed a way of creating a more contained area for large breed dogs when I have to leave the house. While the cage itself isn’t very heavy, the fact that it doesn’t have a top and can be configured into different shapes on different surfaces has been fantastic. Most large dogs are gentle giants and won’t bother attempting to get out of it. I usually put down blankets, pillows and toys for them until I get back, and it feels open and wide enough that they’re perfectly content.

I used this to block off our flower bed so the puppies would stop eating the plants and mulch. This is not the purpose of the product, but it has worked great. I have it zip ties to metal fence posts that are hammered into the ground. It has held up well to the south Louisiana weather as no rust has appeared yet.

Needed this for campingThe goods-. It isn't super heavy, doesn't take much room up for storage..2 or more can be easily connected together.Could be moved around easily, when put together.Did its job and kept the pups secure.The bads-.It did have some rust spots out of the box.The clips are tough..get yourself some carabiners, they will come in handy..The height without a door makes it a little tough, but I overlapped one section and made a door and worked out great.

I have purchased a number of these recently to attach to a chain link fence that my dogs have decided won't keep them in... I use zip ties to mount these against the chain link and use the added ground stakes - it is just enough to keep the dogs from wanting to burrow under the fence. I was desperate over the winter and have had 2 of these exp-pens for years (not really using them after my puppies get over 12 weeks as it is too small for a play yard) so I decided to try it and it works great. It is not an economical solution, but one thing I have learned is that this brand is not only manufacturer by Midwest, but the items are identical. I bought 2 of each to check and the only difference is that this pen comes in a brown box and the Midwest comes in a branded box. This is a high quality pen and I highly recommend! Although please note it does not have a door.
