Artists Loft Acrylic Fundamentals Paint Set 12pcs

I'm an artist with a degree in painting. The quality of these paints are minimal. Some colors, such as the ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, lemon yellow, and titanium white, are a lot less pigmented than the rest. That's a third of the colors. Their crimson red is much cooler than other crimsons, while their vermilion is very warm, boarding on orange. The ultramarine blue has very little color, it's almost transparent. The texture is a bit snotty.This set is ok if you just want to see what how acrylic handles differently from other water-based paints. At some point, though, you will be frustrated by the unevenness of pigmentation.

Just recently I have gotten in touch with my creative side. These paints have been wonderful for all the projects I've done so far. They work really well on glass jars, too!

Getting back into painting. Very fun! This paint set is a good one to begin with or to get even if you've been painting for awhile.

I have used Liquitex Acrylic paints for many years and they are great, but I have not used acrylics for the last few years. I started a medium sized project and decided to try the Artist Loft acrylics. They are okay, but not great. They do not cover all that well and blending one color into another is not that good either. I had to use multiple layers to get basic coverage. So, for the project that I am using them on, they will do the job, but next time I will go back to Liquitex.

This is fine for someone with basic needs, and a fun set for kids. It costs $5 at craft stores.
