**Q: How often can/should this be used and how long should you use it at a time?**
A: I used for 10 minutes, twice a day. I felt some relief in 2 days and continued for almost 2 weeks for complete relief. . So far I haven't had to use it again.

**Q: How tight should it be pulled? Is it supposed to smoosh my cheeks?**
A: I was so desperate for relief that I was prepared to pull as hard as I could stand but my husband it the voice of reason. He suggested easing into the higher tension. So I used it for 10 minutes twice a day for 2 days with just moderate tension. Then I tightened the tension and yes it smooshes your cheeks but with wonderful results.

**Q: Description states calibrated for 0 to 40 pounds. Does that mean it will automatically release tension if more that 40 pounds is applied?**
A: With a design of the spring-loaded meter, you have an better idea of how much tension you are applying to your neck. The scale being from 0-N (0LB) to 200-N (40LB) allows you to know the traction parameter.

**Q: Can you set it to a certian poundage**
A: The tension is not set before the traction. The scale will show the pounds as the ratchet cord is pulled - there needs to be tension on the device before the pound scale is visible. You can't see the scale as you use the device - someone else would need to read it for you.

I've only had this for a few days. It's easy to setup and use, but it's a little uncomfortable as some people have said. The more pressure you use, the more it pulls on your jaw and puts pressure on your teeth. If you slightly open your mouth so your teeth aren't pressing together, your jaw gets sore fairly quick. I like having decent pressure so I've only been able to use it in 2 minute intervals. I do 2 minutes twice during a session. I do a session in the morning and again before bed. I got this because I had a bad pain in my neck for about 6 months that wasn't going away. I never expected an overnight miracle, and neither should you. But it definitely helps and my neck is less sore in the morning and throughout the day. I think with continued use my neck pain might be gone soon. I would use it more if it wasn't uncomfortable at the pressure I like. I think over time my jaw will become stronger and I'll be able to extend my sessions. If you're on the fence about giving this a try, I say go for it. If you don't like it, you can return it. I researched several and this one had better reviews vs the ones with the two handles. If you like the handle option, this one can be grabbed by the triangle metal bar thing and you can pull on it to release some pressure, similar to the handle models. It comes with a storage bag which is nice, but I've just been keeping it hanging on my doors hooks for my robes so it's easily accessible when I use it. I'll use the bag once I'm not using this twice a day. I might also get a mouth guard that goes between my teeth, I think that would help.
