I have it set up as my C: drive and so far it is working perfectly. Much faster than my old SSD.

This works really well! I just got a PC from a friend an the hard drive that was in it before (this one) was dead, I got another one only for it to be bad and then got this one. It's perfect! This is a great hard drive.

The disk came on time, and the price was right for the times. The disk was well packaged and is obviously new from the packaging and authorization label on the disk. If you need a new 1 TB disk you will be well pleased with this purchase. No need to keep searching.

Came in the mail a couple of days ago. Kind of worried it would be a nightmare to get working, so I put it off till I had a day more or less free so I could sit on hold with tech asst if I needed to. This morning, I pulled out the old disk and reattached the cables to the new one and screwed it into the bay. I have operated with a dual boot Windows/Linux Ubuntu machine now since November 2016, and I'm really happy with Ubuntu (haven't opened Windows but one time since I installed Ubuntu). Linux runs a much better hard disk management tool then Microsoft, imho, and the Linux hardware troubleshooter began to warn me of an impending hard disk failure about two weeks ago. Well, my Dell is five years old, so I wasn't surprised. Please note: You have to be very, very careful when you order your disk from Amazon to get the right one, duh! And there seemed to be two possible choices for me, but I went with the one I thought was correct for my mother board, and figured I'd straighten things out if I ordered the wrong one. So I had the Ubuntu installation disk in the DVD drive and performed the smoke test. And man . . . everything went slick as pig snot and all for less than $60! Now all my apps are working, the install even found my printer and it works fine (printer drivers used to be a problem with Linux). Yup, even Netflix works fine (used to be a problem also). So I guess it's officially bye-bye Microsoft! Thanks but no thanks, Geek Squad. Thank you Amazon and Linux!

Hace aproximadamente 10 meses lo compre para complementar mi setup ya que por lo general guardo bastante informacion como documentos, fotos personales y familiares, musica y entre muchos otros. Hasta el momento a estado de maravilla y totalmente funcional. La primera vez que lo instale, el disco se encontraba con primer encendido y sin datos guardados, por lo cual, se puede decir que era totalmente nuevo.

I got this HDD as a part of my budget gaming build. Normally, I would've gone with WD, but the second I compared a WD Blue to this, my mind was made. The storage space, (1 tb) is more than enough for most people, and the read/write speed (the speed files are opened and saved/moved) is pretty decent for an HDD too. It typically averages around 100 mb/s, which for the price is hardly a bad deal tl;dr, if you need a good HDD with a lot of space and decent performance at an affordable price, this is the HDD for you.

Un peu trop tôt pour parler de longévité mais d'ores et déjà super rapport qualité prix ! A noter que l'épaisseur de ce disque est réduite par rapport aux "classiques" pour les nommer ainsi (d'ailleurs il me semble également plus léger) : si cela est dû a une meilleure utilisation des matières premières et à une préoccupation environnementale tant mieux. Enfin même constat que plusieurs utilisateurs : l'emballage est plus que sommaire ! Une pochette antistatique dans une enveloppe protectrice à bulles le tout se baladant librement dans un colis en carton plus grand contenant le reste de ma commande... :-( Ce n'est pas le packaging en soi qui me manque mais plutôt la crainte que le disque ne soit pas suffisamment protégé pendant le transport, un petit carton individuel à la bonne taille me semble nécessaire mais puisqu'il n'y avait pas d'objet métallique ou dur dans le reste du colis il n'y a rien à déplorer et il fonctionne très bien. En résumé : parfait pour un ordinateur familial. Que demander de plus ?! Un emballage adapté pardi...

Needed some more storage and I've been using seagate for years so picked this up for a good price. The drive is a bit thinner then my last one but still the same excellent quality and decent speed for a mechanical drive. Ticked all of the boxes for me. Arrived in an anti static bag inside a padded envelope which was enough to protect it. Been using it a few months now and it's running well with no issues.
