Perfect for a 10 foot kayak with the anchor wizard.
This a great anchor for a kayak. I have a 10.5 foot old town sportsman with the anchor wizard and this works perfectly for it! I had a light weight grapple type anchor and it just wouldn’t hold my kayak. This one holds just fine. The finish is nice. Add a short length of chain to it and you’re good to go.

Nice anchor
It’s an anchor it does what it’s supposed to do.

proper weight
This is my favorite anchor for my kayak, and I tried a few. It holds really well and doesn't snag easily on rocks and oyster beds here on Florida's inshore west coast even in fairly strong tides.

Issues with the paint but gets the job done
Came with some of the paint chipped like it was thrown around or used but it gets the job done easily. Hopefully it won’t rust on me super fast due to the negligence and paint chips.

Good value
Nice little anchor. Holds my SS127 in place nicely even in loght-moderate current on the river. I have a grappling hook style anchor for when the current is bad or the bottom composition doesn't play nice with a mushroom anchor, but those tend to hang up way more often so I stick to this little 5 lb mushroom whenever possible.

Quiet anchor
I have one of those grapple folding style anchors and its so noisy clanking around it no doubt scares all the fish away so I picked up one of these. Been very happy with it. It's quiet, compact, simple and effective and does the job. Pretty much always holds my canoe but if I got it anchored from the side in high wind it won't hold, just needs to be positioned at the end and it's usually enough to do the trick. This is the only style of anchor I'd buy from now on.

Highly recommended
Love this little anchor .. I lost one in the river due to not having a big enough buoy at the en of the rope and ordered another one the same day .. this thing holds in every body of water I fish .. don’t let its small size fool you! .. I fish a Hobie outback in the Sacramento River mainly and in fast currents and this thing holds instantly no chain or anything needed !! Highly recommend for any kayak fisherman that fishes rivers and deltas

Perfect for kayak or canoe
After I snagged my previous anchor on the bottom of the lake, I started looking for something that would hold my fishing kayak in place and not snag on any debris on the bottom. This weight anchor holds the kayak in light wind and I haven’t had any trouble getting it back in the boat. Working well for me so far, definitely recommend.

This is exactly as it says. Just didn't realize how small 5 lbs is . Good for kayak or canoe maybe but no good for my 14 ft aluminum boat. But my mistake so they still get 5 stars as there product is as stated .

This anchor is fantastic. It’s less than a quarter of the size of grapnel anchors of the same weight and it holds much better. I use it with a Scotty anchor lock on my Hobie Compass and when I drop that thing the boat doesn’t move even in high winds. And because of its small size it doesn’t hit against the kayak when it’s in the raised position. It works on any type of bottom, I’ve used it in sand, rock and muddy conditions. The vinyl coating is also great because it doesn’t scratch my kayak. Great price too.

Great little piece of kit for kayaks and inflatables. I tried a folding anchor but it kept getting trapped under rocks and snags. Due to its rounded shape this one seems to be snag-free. One top tip in strong winds is to tie on several boat lengths of line and let it pay out. This lets the anchor drag horizontally in the mud and provides a significant amount of holding power. Keeps my Kaboat rock steady in all but the worst blows. I knocked it down a star because the paint is peeling off. Does not affect the performance of the anchor.
