Review: Great Cam and a Great Price! Packed with features - We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility. Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle. Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added. Proof in the pudding: We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too. Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. A: This dash cam supports memory card of 32GB-256GB. A free 32GB card is included in the package.  U3 Class 10 memory card is recommended if you need to buy a new one, or just purchase Redtiger in-store 128GB card which is the most fit.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not perfect, but very good, especially for the price

This product was good enough that I bought 2 more, one for my wife, and another for my dad's vehicle. After installing multiple times in different cars, I figure 4 stars was a good place to settle. - Background : I bought this with the hardwire kit for 24 H monitoring for 2 vehicles, a sedan and a crossover. While I'm not the most handy, I don't tend to shy away from learning something new, and there was plenty of content on Youtube to help me install. I recommend ChrisFix's videos for dashcam install. - Front Camera Install: This was straightforward. Once I got comfortable with tucking cable under the headliner, I mapped the shorted route to both my cars' fuseboxes, and tapped into some reasonable (and safe) fuses. I appreciated the sticky cable runners. One thing I don't love is the suction cup mount for the front camera. I would much prefer a more permanent 3M style adhesive or something similar, much like what the rear camera uses. I have a strip of tint for glare reduction on my windshield, and the suction mount couldn't get purchase on that material, so I had to mount it about 2 inches lower, which made the cables more apparent. - Rear camera install: For my first install in a midsize sedan, this wasn't much of a problem. The cable was long enough to have plenty of slack. However, the second vehicle presented quite the problem. This was a compact crossover, not much longer than the sedan, but it has a hatch and requires more length. I was off by just a few inches, and I needed to order an extension cable. This was worth me deducting a point. The crossover is still a relatively small car, especially by American standards. I can't see how this would work in a larger SUV, which is a sizable portion of the market here. - Camera Quality: I would describe the quality is "good, but not excellent". The cameras are enough to be able to determine fault in a collision, and the front can capture license plate numbers if the car is close. But, I would say to manage expectations for fine detail at night. I would say the quality is great at this price point, but if fidelity is what you absolutely need, you want to budget for a higher tier camera set. For the price I paid, I'm satisfied with it. - In-App experience: Setting the app up was also straightforward, and I appreciate the ability to pair multiple cameras to one app. I don't love the "community" section of the app for something that's supposed to just be a utility, but it's not in my face and I can largely ignore it. I also like that I can just pop the microSD card out if I needed to pull footage without my phone. - Storage: The units I purchased each came with a 128GB microSD card, which is definitely welcome, but I don't expect it to last very long. While driving, this thing will be writing continuously to the card, so unless it's rated for high endurance, it's going to wear out rather quickly. That said, storage is definitely not cheap these days, so I appreciate the pack-in. Just get ready to replace the microSD card sooner than later.
