Marans hatching eggs

We have had our eggs for a little over a week. The order was only for 18 but they sent 20. I put 11 of them under 2 of our broody hens and the other 9 into the incubator. I can’t speak on the eggs under my hens but as far as the 9 in the incubator after yesterdays candling it looks like only 1 is not fertilized and we have 1 quitter. Our rooster was lost to a coyote last summer so our neighbors gave us 10 eggs they thought were fertilized and only 2 ended up hatching. I’m actually having much better luck with these eggs from Amazon.

I paid for 18 eggs and received 19. 1 came broke, so I was happy for he extra egg. I did my final candling and maybe 4 of them are good. And I’m going out in a limb here and really hoping. But I honestly don’t think they are any good. So I’m down to 4/18. I understand that shipped eggs are a gamble, but this is ridiculous

We have begun incubating the eggs and appreciate receiving 24 of them undamaged and packaged well. I will update once they begin hatching. My kindergarteners are so excited.UPDATE: Out of the 24 eggs we received, 3 of them hatched and the kindergarteners love them. As time wore on, I began candling and culling the unfertilized eggs. An additional six eggs were fertilized, but did not develop past around 8 days gestation. This was hard to observe, but I needed to know what was going on with the eggs that had not hatched. The incubator was set with the correct temperature and humidity. The eggs sat on an egg turner until the final 2 days.I realize that it is difficult to tell, when pulling eggs from a coop, which eggs are fertile and will develop into chicks. For the price I paid, I would have expected at least a 30-40% hatch rate. Not unsatisfied, just disappointed.

When you order using this link, you will receive your eggs from one of several farms. Some farms are far superior than others. I received my eggs from CZ Grain and reached out via text with concerns, which were quickly dismissed. Nothing on the box marking it as fragile. Next year, we will be ordering directly from Walking H Ranch, who sent my coworker 20 eggs as a just in case, none arrived broken, and had 16 out of those 20 hatch. They also gave more information about what breeds may come and sent a variety of different eggs which made it fun for the students in her class. NOT worth $70!

I was skeptical to buy fertilized eggs online, but after my other source fell through, I didn’t have a whole lot of other options. These arrived well packaged and fully intact. I placed in the incubator 48 hours after arrival. They came earlier than expected, which normally is great, but I was not ready for them at that time. They are set to hatch next week and after candling it looks like we will have in the neighborhood of 14 out of the 18 eggs hopefully with viable chicks hatched. Two did not make it out of the first week, but upon inspection I do believe they were still fertilized. Overall very pleased with this purchase, it was a great variety and should be a decent hatch rate. Will update after!

They were delivered quickly and well packaged. I bought 2 dozen and received one extra. They gave me an extra egg. One egg was broken in shipping. I ended up hatching 9 out of 24 but am pretty sure it had more to do with me being inexperienced at incubation. After reading more I had made several rookie mistakes so I would say my bad. All the chicks that hatched did great and are now several weeks old and thriving well. My kids really enjoyed it and are excited for our little hens to get veg enough to lay their own eggs. I would not hesitate to buy from this seller again!

Bad product, no trust, refund is shipping rotten eggs for warranty, and will still have claim denied for that reason. Seller does NOT try to reach out to make corrections, or customers satisfied. Will not use or recommend this seller.

Amazing packaging not one egg broken and I even watch the mailman drop the box over my gate. I ordered 24 eggs late in the season and only five are not fertilized that’s great odds . Hatching we shall see but that’s not on you if the don’t hatch. My only want was I wish things where labeled.
