The construction is minimal and the metal ring isn’t fastened on, causing it to slip off and the little leather surface comes apart from the cushion. But, this is a very cheap object so my expectations weren’t sky high.

I found this pad to be smaller than I liked for working with NH35 and NH36 movements. Purchased a larger one to replace this one. I'm neutral on a recommendation ... boils down to personal preference.

I often watch a YouTube channel Wristwatch Revival” and that craftsman (of the highest caliber) uses one of these bases so as I embark upon my own journey in watch repair work, it was one of my first purchases. It works like a charm.

Don't waste your money. Garbage. Waayy too small to even work.

Great pad for working on a watch

Tiny and comes out of the "metal" plastic surround frequently. Not a good product. A cheap one came with a watch repair kit I bought and was significantly larger and higher quality. I'm giving it 2 stars because I should have read the size and reviews more closely, otherwise it would be 1.
