Great item for practice, I keep them around for when I get bored and they are great for when my grandkids come over.

The PCB is extremely low quality, but the kit does its job: gives you a cheap way to learn soldering of very small components.

The only issue I had was that the QFP's were taped to the board in a way that made it very difficult to remove them without bending the leads. The board has a HASL finish which is not ideal for fine pitch SMT soldering, but for $7 I didn't really expect ENIG.

I wanted to see if I would be capable of working with the small SMD components. This item quickly made it clear that even with the proper equipment, this task was impossible for me to do. So in fact the practice kit did do it's job. Wish I was younger so I could master this process.

It's a cheap way to practice SMD and / or reflow soldering on a tight basis. There is no final way to test other thank DVOM'ing the test pads. Still, for the price, it's a great way to start. Get a great magnifying lens or microscope to learn.

bought this kit to practice on SMD soldering. Note that this kit comes with no instructions- but none are needed. It does nothing when completed.Just take your time practicing soldering the components. There are a wide variety of sizes - all the way down to the smallest ones.

There are no instructions with this kit. You will have to do alot of research to figure out parts. Not sure what the results are suppose to be.

What is not immediately obvious from the description is that in sections containing the same components all are connected in series and have convenient measurement contacts. You can check the whole lot of resistors, capacitors and diodes and you immediately know if the job is OK or you need to re-do. Great for training and trying various techniques.

Il kit ha un buon numero di componenti e sarebbe anche buono se non fosse solo un modo per riciclare componenti di scarto decisamente sovrapprezzate. La PCB è di qualità infima, i pad si staccano alla minima pressione. Quelle che dovrebbero essere delle resistenze 0603 e 0402 misurate appena fuori dal reel non conducono, il che può voler dire due cose: le componenti non sono delle resistenze (sembra siano dei condensatori da 0.03 nF, collegati in serie sulla PCB), oppure le resistenze sono tutte difettose. Anche i diodi non conducono. In generale, questo kit è costoso e di scarsa qualità.
