This is my everyday watch
I have had a couple of these units in the past. Thye last for years until the battery eventually dies. I could replace the battery for the watch and I'm pretty sure the watch could still working. However, I like to replace the watch because after wearing it for years, the watch bands show some sign of wear. The crystal display also presents some wearing after years of using it. But these watches are really reliable and they worth every penny spent of them.

A lot of watch for the money
It's almost unbelievable how much watch Casio gives you for the money. I've been wearing it for about a week. The only complaints I have are that the watch crystal is a little soft (scratched it the first day I wore it. I still don't know how. I don't remember the watch getting knocked into anything) and the hands can be a little hard to read in some lighting conditions.Other than that, this is a fantastic watch. The 37mm size is perfectly proportioned for my 7" wrist. It's thin and light enough that I forget that I'm wearing it. The leather band is high quality and comfortable. It's a little stiff right out of the box, but after a week of wearing the watch the band is starting to break in and soften up. Also, the fit and finish are very good. The stainless still case is nicely polished with no rough spots or sharp edges, and the second hand lines up perfectly with all the seconds marks.

Ad photos do not do small details justice
I rarely leave reviews but in this case I thought it necessary because the manufacturer's ad photos do not do this very inexpensive analog watch justice. My perspective is from someone who owns quite a number of watches - digital, automatic, quartz - but was looking for a inexpensive dressy analog quartz sports watch for travel where I did not have to worry too much about it getting lost or stolen.Like many people looking for watches in this category I was eyeing one of the Timex Expedition models -- cheap, sporty, reliable. However while I was waiting to see if the Timex would go on sale I came across this Casio Mens MTP-V001L-1BUDF. A very utilitarian looking watch in the ad photos of Amazon. In truth, the Timex held a bit of an edge because I liked the vintage military field watch design, and it had the Indiglo feature which would come in handy during travel and on airplanes to check the time in dark conditions. However, the Casio had certain desirable qualities over the Timex Expedition models I was considering. The Casio's case is stainless steel which is a harder and more scratch resistant material, and more costly to mill and finish than the brass case of the Timex. Also Timex cases are coated (I'm not sure if it's plating or painted) which can wear off over time with wear and tear. Finally, as an owner of an older Timex Indiglo I know that its quartz movement can be audible and loud where you can hear the ticking if you have the watch bedside and I read similar observations in people's reviews of the Expedition. The ticking of Timex analog quartz movements are not totally obnoxious but it could bother some people who have trouble sleeping. (Note: In defence of Timex you can't hear the Timex once it is a couple of feet away). Lastly, I did see some complaints of Timex Expedition QC issues where one reviewer said the seconds hand fell off but that may just be an isolated incident as other people post positive reviews of Timex Expedition models other than the audible ticking.Despite the negatives vs positives I was still considering the Timex Expedition until the Casio showed -30% in my Wish List. I jumped at it because it was such a steal and for the price and its purpose as just a beater travel watch. I could compromise without the Indiglo feature and the military field watch look. However, when I received the Casio watch I was pleasantly surprised to how good it looks. It is far better looking in hand than in the photos so prospective buyers should be aware. First, the stainless steel case has a high polished mirror finish giving it a really nice vintage style look. The black dial is not matte as it appears in the manufacturer's photos. It actually appears a very, very dark charcoal in sunlight, semi-reflective and has a beautiful sunburst effect when the light reflects off of it. The markers and logos are also not bright white and stark looking as they look like in the ad photos. It is more of a washed out white to light grey making it more subtle. Now while this does make it more difficult to see under low light or under high reflection, it looks much more elegant. The "Casio" logo is also more subdued so from a few feet away you can't immediately make out that it's a Casio and people could mistake it for a much more expensive watch. The hour, minute and seconds hands are highly polished to a mirror finish and look very nice. Finally, the ticking is quieter than a Timex. In a quiet room the Timex was audible within about a foot from your head, whereas the Casio is not audible. In one of the photos I directly pit the Casio against a similar sized and style German made Stowa mechanical automatic which currently sells for about 1000 Euros and, quite honestly, the Casio holds its own against the Stowa and, in some ways, beats it in the looks department with that reflective sunburst effect of the dial. The watch is also very light to wear and you barely notice it.The negatives are not really negatives but things a buyer should consider. First, there is no light up feature, and the markers are not luminescent so if you like to check your watch in the dark it could be a problem. Secondly the leather watch strap is good enough for this price bracket albeit a bit stiff but some might find the faux gator pattern a bit tacky looking. The good news is that the lug width is a standard and popular 20mm size so there should be plenty of aftermarket replacement strap options available including perhaps a nice vintage flieger style watch band or perhaps a NATO nylon strap for those who want a more modern look. The neutral style of this Casio will look good with most straps. In summary, if you are looking for an inexpensive but good looking watch that leans more to the dressy side this Casio deserves consideration.
