Use it everyday!
The Zojirushi CD-WCC30 Micom Water Boiler and Warmer has been an outstanding addition to my kitchen. This 101 oz (3.0 liters) appliance, in its sleek Silver Dark Brown color, offers exceptional convenience and functionality for keeping hot water readily available for a variety of uses. One of the features I appreciate most is the precision temperature control. The Micom (Microcomputer) technology allows for precise adjustments, ensuring the water is kept at the perfect temperature for different beverages and needs. The unit offers multiple temperature settings, including 160°F, 175°F, 195°F, and 208°F, which are ideal for brewing different types of tea, making coffee, or preparing instant foods. This flexibility makes it incredibly convenient for a wide range of uses. The large 101 oz capacity is another standout feature. It ensures that I always have a generous supply of hot water available, which is particularly useful when entertaining guests or preparing multiple cups of tea or coffee throughout the day. The large capacity reduces the need for frequent refilling, adding to the convenience and efficiency of the appliance. The build quality of the Zojirushi water boiler and warmer is impressive. The stainless steel exterior with its Silver Dark Brown finish is both stylish and durable, fitting seamlessly into my kitchen decor. The non-stick interior ensures easy cleaning and maintenance, while the sturdy construction guarantees long-lasting performance. The overall design is sleek and modern, adding an aesthetic appeal to the functionality. The convenience features of the CD-WCC30 are excellent. The easy-to-read LCD display shows the current water temperature and offers simple one-touch controls for adjusting settings. The auto shut-off and energy-saving timer functions enhance safety and efficiency, making the appliance user-friendly and cost-effective. The swivel base and detachable power cord add to the ease of use, allowing for flexible placement and serving. The dechlorinate and reboil functions are particularly useful. The dechlorinate feature helps reduce chlorine and other impurities, improving the taste and quality of the water. The reboil function quickly brings the water back to boiling point, ensuring it’s always ready for use. These features contribute to the overall quality and reliability of the appliance. The safety features are another significant advantage. The appliance includes a safety auto shut-off, which prevents overheating, and a lock feature to prevent accidental dispensing of hot water. These safety measures provide peace of mind, especially in households with children or pets. Overall, the Zojirushi CD-WCC30 Micom Water Boiler and Warmer has exceeded my expectations. Its combination of precise temperature control, large capacity, stylish design, and user-friendly features makes it an essential appliance for any kitchen. The water boiler and warmer have significantly improved the convenience and efficiency of my daily routine, providing hot water on demand for a variety of uses. I highly recommend this appliance to anyone looking for a reliable and versatile water boiler and warmer. It has become an indispensable part of my kitchen, ensuring that I always have hot water ready for my needs.

Wake up to hot water and enjoy instant hot water all day
Great for group settings or for single heavy hot water drinkers like me. I fell in love with large Zojirushi hot water thermoses when I worked in an office in Japan—imagine having piping hot water ready to make tea with, all day long! I hesitated to splurge on a Zojirushi back in the US, because traditional electric kettles are so cheap and ubiquitous. But after several highly-rated electric kettles broke in some way or another within a few months of being used multiple times a day (I like tea and even prefer to drink plain piping hot water over cold), I decided to go for the Zojirushi during a sale event. It was well worth the splurge! On work nights, I can set the time delay function to have the water hot and ready at the perfect temperature for my morning tea when I wake up, with enough water left over to fill both my and my partner’s work thermoses as well. On the weekend, I can leave the keep-warm function on to instantly warm up or brew a new cup of tea throughout the day—with its 3 liter capacity, I rarely need to refill the device or reboil from scratch. The temperature settings may feel limited but are all you need for most varieties of tea or coffee. The wide opening makes for easy filling, emptying, and cleaning, and was also the perfect size for scooping out water with a hishaku for an informal tea ceremony experience. I highly recommend using the suggested cleaning tablets, as mineral scale will gradually build up over use, and the tablets (combined with the device’s self-cleaning function) work really well at eliminating this natural buildup and keeping the device in prime working order. The one thing I think Americans might need to get used to is the need to unplug it to turn it off (and to prevent it from boiling dry when low), but in this case that means easily detaching a magnetic safety plug rather than unplugging it from the wall outlet itself, so there’s little effort needed and minimal, if any, wear and tear to the device or your wall outlet. 6 months into repeated daily use and no issues yet—if this goes on for another year, I will end up saving since I don’t have to keep replacing worn-out kettles!

Super convenient for daily hot water
This water boiler has been really useful at home. My mom drinks hot tea all the time, so this makes it much more convenient for her instead of waiting for water to boil every time. The size is perfect and it keeps hot water ready all day, which saves a lot of time. The different temperature settings are nice and the build quality feels very solid. It heats up fast and stays warm without needing to reboil. A bit pricey but definitely worth it if you use hot water a lot.

Great for tea drinkers
I drink tea all day and had been using an electric kettle. But the electric kettle never kept the water warm for more than 20 or 30 minutes. So every time I needed hot water, I would have to re-boil the kettle or stick the mug in the microwave. I was so excited to get this product because it allows me to have hot water all day long for my tea. And I get to adjust the temperature to a lower setting for herbal tea. I’ve only had it a couple days but it’s working really well. I’m so glad I bought this instead of another kettle that’s only going to break down in four months. I fill it in the morning and use the water throughout the day. At night, I unplug it and empty out whatever water is still left. Then I leave it open to dry overnight. I don’t know if you have to do this or not, but I don’t like leaving standing water around for too long.

4 YEAR UPDATE - STILL WORKING LIKE NEW! Amazon discontinued the vacuum insulated Panasonic water boiler so this was the choice after a power surge burnt out my Panasonic. I still hate the extra pump safety button requirement for my retirement home where no kids are allowed but the quick boil feature will save power and steam and I needed the 10 hour timer option. The obnoxious little tune it plays when done after the power goes out can be turned off so just a beep is heard but you have to silence the tune each time you have removed power. I added extra insulation around it and I keep a kitchen towel over the top to reduce wasted heat entering the room. I expect the liner to not rust and make scale easy to flake off on its own. For 5 stars they will have to use more insulation and give a way to over ride that stupid safety button before pumping. EDIT - TEN MONTHS LATER - Still good, no rust. Lots of older reviews here from a time before they upgraded their materials. I just let the scale build up until it gets thick and flakes off. It has no flavor and is not worth the time to clean as long as you keep the pump screen cleared. I never fill mine more than half way, enough for my needs. It is placed where the spout is over the sink for washing dishes. YOU CAN HEAT CANNED FOODS TO FULLY READY TO EAT if you gently lower the can into the chamber with label removed. I heat my morning sausage gravy can in it at the moment I have finished making coffee and lower the temp to 160 for the rest of the day. That literally uses no power at all and prevents the heat from entering the room as it cools from 210 to 160 by heating the can. Very efficient and eliminates need for a hot water heater in the home except for bathing.

A little cheaper-seeming than my friend's black Japanese model, but I use this every day.
I was introduced to Zojirushi water boilers when I rented a furnished house owned by a friend of mine, who is a little bit obsessed with Japanese products. He left his black Zojirushi boiler there and I found it to be very useful--as I was drinking a lot of hot tea in the winter. When I moved he offered to let me have it, but I didn't want to take his, and just said I'd buy my own. It turned out to be a more complicated buying decision than I realized--the number of variations and the wild fluctuations in price made me put off getting one for a year. I ultimately decided to go the more cost-effective route, and wound up getting this Chinese-manufactured unit. It has a faux-stainless-steel plastic exterior that makes it seem cheap compared to the black versions...and it scratches easily so you need to be careful when moving it around. But overall I'm satisfied with the purchase, and spending more would probably have been unnecessary. I don't have much to complain about, other than small things...like that if you turn off the chime it forgets you turned it off if you unplug it. I took it to Michigan and was alarmed to see how much sediment and build up there was after a bit after a month of use...the quality of the water definitely affects how often you need to run it through a cleaning cycle. But it cleaned up well.

A kitchen must-have for tea drinkers
I’ve been using this hot water dispenser for a while now, and I honestly don’t know how I managed without it. What I appreciate most is how I can choose specific temperatures at 160F, 175F, 195F, or 208F and it keeps water at the that temperature. The water is always ready when I need it, which saves a lot of time. The design is sleek and modern, and it fits perfectly on my countertop without taking up too much space. The touch controls are intuitive, and I love that it offers multiple temperatures. It is easy to refill water too. However, one small downside is that when I refill the container, I have to wait for the water to heat back up to the set temperature. It is not a long wait, but it can be inconvenient when I want hot water immediately.

Work well for daily use
Bought this water boiler for home use and it’s been working well so far. Heats water quickly and is easy to operate. The size is good for daily needs and it doesn’t take up too much space. No issues after regular use, and it’s convenient to have hot water ready when needed. Happy with the purchase.

Not compatible with UK
This comes with an EU plug so it's not suitable for UK sockets, annoying because it's sold on the UK Amazon site. Don't even try to use a travel adapter for kitchen appliances, it's not the correct voltage and you'll probably blow a fuse or risk a fire hazard. The actual product is probably fine, Zojirushi is a highly reputable brand and I've used their water boilers in the past and loved them.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do
I've thought about getting a water boiler for a long time, and took the opportunity when my kettle died. The Zojirushi is everything I expected it to be, but you need to consider how you'll use a water boiler. The Zojirushi turns on as soon as you plug it in. It'll boil the water and then keep it at your chosen temperature until you unplug it or set the timer to turn it off for a period of time. That's super convenient, but wasteful if you leave it going for 12 hours without using any hot water. I've put it on a smart plug with a timer. It turns on in the morning to boil the water, and turns off after a period of time. If I need water later in the day, I just turn the plug on. Without the smart plug, the Zojirushi (or any water boiler) wouldn't make sense for me. Things I like about the Zojirushi: - The magnetic power cord that's super easy to plug into the boiler (kind of like Apple MagSafe). - The sturdy handle that makes it easy to lift. - The base that enables you to turn the boiler around in a circle without having to lift it. - The four keep-warm temperature settings. - The big window that tells you how much water is left. My only concern is that others have talked about this particular boiler having a short life span due to the interior rusting. I wonder if that's related to the quality of their tap water. Hopefully I can avoid it through regular cleaning.
