Great Torch!
I was looking for a way to rid the back lot of weeds without spending a ton of money on weed killer and risking long term affects of harsh chemicals for both the family and the pets. This torch seemed worth a try, and ended up working out very well. I like the ability to adjust the flame, and have had no issues with the pilot flame going out, even on higher wind/breezy days. The hose is a very good length to connect to a 20lb propane cylinder and keep the tank at a safe distance from the area being torched. I chose Flame King as it is a known brand, and when it comes to potential burn dangers its best to stick with what is known and not cheap out. Although at the time of purchase I thought the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Good Buy- saves time
Impressive. I had my doubts when I purchased it but I have been very satisfied with it functionality. It is effective in killing weeds on my patio. They have not returned, even months later. The fuel consumption is reasonable. I'm a 61 year old female and do not find the weight to be too heavy. I do wish the wand was a bit longer as it does require some bending at the waist/back. I used it to kill weeds along the road/sidewalk but you need to be careful as it is hot enough to melt asphalt. I really only use in on my brick patio and landscape areas that have a pebble rock base. Not for mulch areas.

Works great
Works perfect for everything I need. Used to burn weeds, clear pond edges and over flow pipes, burn out flies, start brush pile burns, etc. Great for anyone looking to burn whatever. Much easier and cleaner than using diesel, gas, or kerosene.

Easy to use, works well.
Although this just arrived today I was anxious to unpack and assemble it since we have a considerable amount of ice on some of our walkways. I properly hooked it up to my propane source and began experimenting with some of the worst ice. The force of the blast of flame was quite strong and I was able to clear a fair amount of the ice from one of my walks. The thicker the ice the longer it will take to clear it. Keep in mind that if the temperature is extremely cold you will run the risk of it refreezing. Luckily, at the time of my usage, it was in the mid thirties most of the day and the water had pretty mush evaporated. One thing to note is that the flame is VERY HOT and if you hold it too close to your work it will blast backwards a bit and char the metal flame opening. I kind of wish the propane feed hose was a bit longer to enable the user to walk further away from the tank without having to pick it up so often.

Burns very hot and strong.
Man does this thing blow! It is easy to hook up and start torching weeds with. I loved working with it! Just make sure you only use it on weeds in a very controlled environment and with no wind, since the weeds burn up on the embers start floating. The ground was wet around the dry weeds I torched, so it worked perfectly. I recommend this product.

You are going to love going Terminator on your weeds with this thing.
I saw a video on FB with someone using this thing. We have a garden with raised metal beds. The area around the beds is river rock. Although we put down a landscaping fabric, we still get weeds that try and grow up, especially in the area that border next to our grass. We also get weeds that try and grow in the cracks of our paved patio and other areas and it used to be a full-time job trying to keep up with them. Usually by the time the heat of the summer comes we lose the battle. This thing is such a quick fix to the problem. The only negative is having to carry around the heavy propane tank but my husband and I usually tag team on the job. He carries the tank and moves it around as I blast the weeds. Caution: This baby puts off some serious heat when you torch the weeds. Do NOT hold it for long periods of time to burn weeds next to a wood fence because you can catch the fence on fire. I did NOT try this but I did accidently catch a few pieces of mulch on fire when trying to weed in an area that contained wood mulch. Once you give the weeds a good torch (they won't look dead) come back and look at them a few hours later and they will be all brown and dead. At that point you can torch the dead remains or pull them up. Some larger weeds you might need to give another blast to make sure you kill it at the root. This thing is like a flame thrower! It's actually kind of fun to use with excellent results.

Great tool, fun too!
Works like a charm, just hook it up to a 20 gallon propane tank and fire away. Looking forward to seeing how well it will melt ice this winter too. Works best on short weeds so maybe trimming first then use it when they 1st pop up. Easy to light, just click the button no need for a lighter

More powerful than those using 1 pound bottles
This burner is the real deal. I was able to burn off all of the dead weeds in a 0.15 acre lot in about 3 hours using about a half tank of propane. The hose is sufficiently long but there are times I wish it was longer. The output of this burner is significantly higher than those using a 1 pound bottle. The “primer” flame stayed on most of the time though there were instances where it would blow out. The ignition button always has the flame relit with one push of the button. One design improvement would be if there was a way to have the handle pressed and locked for long duration burns. My hand was getting tired of squeezing the handle. Quality product and worth the money. One additional comment is that when connecting to the tank, it’s a reverse thread. So counter clockwise to tighten.

I really wanted to be eco friendly, so I started using a mixture of vinegar and salt to kill weeds that were growing in a gravel walkway. After almost two gallons of vinegar…no success. I moved on to buy roundup…no success. Although weeds would start dying after a couple of days, they would grow back bigger and stronger immediately after the next rainfall. I read several comments regarding these types of units. Some of them are pretty scary. I figured that buying a “flame thrower” from a Canadian company would probably be a lot safer. Some cheaper alternatives appear to shoot flames upwards. I don’t care if it is 1 unit out of a million that shoots flames upwards. I am not taking that risk. Don’t want to end up with 3rd degree burns to save 30$ or 50$. The unit works flawlessly and efficiently. My gravel walkway has never looked as good. My recommendation : make sure you trim the weeds as much as possible before torching them. You only need to roast the stems for a few seconds for them to die. I see videos of people burning large weeds and almost starting a fire. The bigger the weed, the more time and gas it takes to roast them. If you are doing this on a stone pathway or driveway, there is a risk that burning large weeds will stain (carbon deposit) your stones. Make sure you trim the weeds to the bare minimum and blow them away before torching your stone pathway or driveway. Most important of all, make sure you hose down the surrounding vegetation after torching your weeds. Enjoy and stay safe!

Great way to light charcoal vs a chimney, way less smoke. Only takes about 2 minutes to fire up the coals. It is loud when shooting full flame but it’s only for a couple of minutes. Easy to light and adjust.
